The central government has nominated shri Kunal Ghosh, MP, to the Telephone Advisory Committee of Kolkata Telephones circle. This MP has been arrested by the CBI, in connection with the Saradha scam. He was in jail, and was granted indefinite bail only last Friday. On one side, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is making high decibel speeches against corruption. On the other side, the government is patronising politicians who are involved in massive scams. BSNLEU has written to the Secretary, DoT, demanding immediate withdrawal of the nomination of shri Kunal Ghosh.
Ever since the government constituted the 3rd PRC, for the wage revision of the Executives, BSNLEU is demanding constitution of the wage revision committee for the Non-Executives. After dilly dallying for a long time, Corporate Office has formed a wage revision committee, without any representation from the Recognised Unions. BSNLEU has written to the CMD BSNL, rejecting this truncated wage revision committee, and demanding immediate constitution of a Joint Wage Negotiation Committee, with the representatives of the Recognised Unions.
