All are aware that, BSNLEU raised the demand for the implementation of a Health Insurance Scheme to the willing BSNL employees. The BSNL Management also took speedy action and signed an MoU with the New India Assurance, for the implementation of Health Insurance Scheme for the willing employees. More than 17,000 employees opted for the Scheme. The Management told that, the Health Insurance would be implemented from 01.09.2021. However, the same has not happened. We learn that, the Corporate Office of the New India Assurance has not approved the MoU signed between BSNL and the Regional Unit of the New India Assurance. BSNLEU is repeatedly taking up the issue with the Director (HR) for the early implementation of the Health Insurance Scheme. Today, once again BSNLEU has written to the Director (HR) to take necessary steps for the early implementation of the Health Insurance Scheme.
