BSNLEU writes to the Director(HR), demanding review of the results of the failed SC/ST candidates of the JE LICE, held on 28.01.2018.

BSNLEU has already demanded review of the results of the failed SC/ST candidates of the JE LICE, held on 28-01-2018, based on the DoT order no.22-5/91-NCG dated 28-12-1992. In the meanwhile, based on the serious efforts taken by BSNLEU, and especially based on the discussion that BSNLEU held with the CMD BSNL on 10.07.2018, Management has given relaxation of qualifying marks to the candidates of all the categories, for the JE LICE held on 28-01-2018. Citing this relaxation given to all the candidates, Management has rejected any further relaxation to the SC/ST candidates. The stand of the Management is unacceptable. SC/ST candidates should get relaxation based on the DoT order no.22-5/91-NCG dated 28-12-1992. Hence, BSNLEU has written to the Director (HR), strongly demanding review of the results of the failed SC/ST candidates of the JE LICE held on 28-01-2018.

BSNLEU writes to the Director (HR) on issues related to the JE LICE.

Due to the consistent efforts taken by BSNLEU, the Management has already agreed to conduct the JE LICE as an “off-line” exam. However, no date has so far been fixed by the Management for holding JE LICE for the Recruitment Year 2017-18. Another issue is that, the BSNL Management has started levying examination fee for the Internal Examinations. BSNLEU has already written to the CMD BSNL, demanding that no exam fee should be fixed for the "Non-Executives to Non-Executive" promotional exams, which are not conducted as online exams. BSNLEU has once again written to the Director (HR), urging upon him to take the needful actions on the above mentioned issues.

CHQ has written to the Director(HR), requesting to hold the forthcoming JE LICE as an off-line exam.

Six Non-Executives of Faridabad SSA, Haryana circle, are issued notice for being sent out on premature retirement.

It is extremely shocking to know that, the Faridabad district administration has issued notice to six Assistant Telecom Technicians, for sending them out on premature retirement. Unfortunately, this matter has come to the notice of the CHQ very belatedly. This notice has been issued under the provisions of Rule 55 (ii)(b) of BSNL CDA Rules-2006. This particular provision was incorporated into the BSNL CDA rules, from the FR 56(j), which is a rule of the Central Government. At that time of it's introduction itself, BSNLEU has strongly opposed this provision. However, Management ignored our opposition. This Rule was only on paper all these years. After the Narendra Modi government came to power, strict instructions were sent to all Central Government departments, as well as to Central Public Sector Undertakings, to vigorously implement the rule, and to "weed out" non-performers, etc. The Central Government is also continuously pressurising the PSU managements to submit action taken report on this matter. BSNLEU has written a detailed letter to the CMD BSNL, demanding immediate intervention to undo the injustice meted out to the six ATTs is Faridabad SSA. BSNLEU assures that all possible steps would be taken to save the six comrades.

Do not harass ST employees of Maharashtra circle - BSNLEU seeks the intervention of the CMD BSNL.

Based on a flimsy complaint received by the Maharashtra circle administration, 857 ST employees of Maharashtra circle have been subjected to severe harassment. The complaint is that, these employees have entered the service by producing fake caste certificates. All these employees have already completed more than 25 to 30 years of service. At this stage, these employees are being harassed to validate their caste certificates. BSNLEU has cited the relevant rules of the DoP&T and has written to the CMD BSNL, stating that the onus of verifying the caste certificates lies only with the Appointing Authority, and not with the employees. BSNLEU has demanded the CMD BSNL should intervene in this matter and to stop the harassment of ST employees in Maharashtra circle.

Stop harassing the 857 Scheduled Tribe employees of Maharashtra circle - follow the DoP&T orders on the subject – BSNLEU writes to the CMD BSNL.

BSNLEU has already taken up with the Corporate Management, the case of harassment being meted out to the 857 employees belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category, working in Maharashtra circle. All these employees have already completed more than 25 / 30 years of service. However, giving credence to a baseless complaint, the Maharashtra circle administration is harassing all these 857 employees for the validation of their caste certificates, in total violation of the government of India orders on the subject, issued by the DoP&T. BSNLEU has already taken up this issue with the CMD BSNL. However, the harassment has not stopped.
