Patiala district union of Punjab circle organised a marvellous election campaign meeting today. A large number of employees participated in this meeting. It is significant to mention that, a sizable number of DR JEs participated in this meeting and expressed their support for BSNLEU. Com.Balbinder Singh, Vice President, Punjab circle, presided over the meeting. Com.Amandeep Singh, District Secretary, Patiala, delivered the welcome address. Com.P.C. Sharma, senior leader, conducted the proceedings. The meeting was addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary,  Com.H.S. Dhillon, Circle Secretary, Punjab circle and Com.Avtar Singh, District Secretary, Ludhiana. Addressing the meeting, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, stressed the need for a strong trade union movement in BSNL to safeguard and strengthen BSNL. He explained how BSNL is being weakened by the government, by not allowing the Company to adapt 4G and 5G technologies. He also exposed the hollow claims being made regarding the 2^nd Revival Package. The General Secretary listed the achievements of BSNLEU during the past 3 years and urged upon the comrades of Punjab circle to massively vote for BSNLEU in the 9^th Membership Verification.
