A delegation of the All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB) met Shri K. Balaji, Joint Secretary (Admn.), DoT, on 09.06.2026, in the presence of Shri Raiti Madhav Rao, Director (PSU), DoT. The AUAB delegation submitted a memorandum seeking immediate approval of the 3rd PRC/Wage Negotiation for BSNL employees and strongly advocated for pay and wage revision without the application of the affordability clause, highlighting BSNL’s strategic role as a Government of India PSU. The delegation also raised important issues including approval of wage negotiations, pension revision, stoppage of SET recruitment and measures for the growth and strengthening of BSNL. The discussions were positive and constructive. AUAB is hopeful that the intervention at the highest level of the DoT will lead to favourable developments on the issues raised.
