BBNL amalgamated (merged) with BSNL.

As per the decision of the government of India, BBNL( Bharat Broadband Network Ltd.) has been amalgamated (merged) with BSNL. The BBNL has issued the order on 03-06-2026 in this connection. The order states that, the Union Cabinet has taken the decision for the amalgamation of BBNL with BSNL and that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, has given it's approval for this amalgamation on 18-05-2026. The order also states that consequent to the amalgamation of BBNL with BSNL, all the assets and liabilities of BBNL stands transferred to BSNL. Rumours have been going on for long about the merger of BBNL with BSNL. Now, the actual merger has taken place. What impact this merger is going to have on the revival of BSNL and also the impact this merger is going to have on the workforce of BSNL, needs to be studied. BSNLEU will duly look into this matter and take needful action to safeguard the interests of BSNL and the interests of it's employees.
