Holding of JAO examination – BSNLEU discusses the matter with PGM (Estt.).

It is unfortunate that, BSNL Management has not taken any initiative for conducting the JAO examination for a long time. The issue has been raised by BSNLEU on several occasions, including in the National Council meetings. On 18.06.2026, Com. M. Vijayakumar, President, and Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, discussed the matter with Shri S.P. Singh, PGM (Estt.), and urged him to hold the examination without further delay. During the discussion, the PGM (Estt.) informed that the Establishment Section has already initiated action to collect the vacancy position in the JAO cadre from all circles. In this regard, a letter was issued to all circles on 17.06.2026 seeking information on JAO cadre vacancies for the vacancy years 2025 and 2026. He further informed that the Corporate Office would take necessary steps for conducting the JAO examination after receiving the vacancy details from the circles and ascertaining the exact number of vacancies.
