Revision of Perks and Allowances – Corporate Office dissolves existing Committee and constitutes a new one excluding various allowances - CHQ registers strong protest.

Today, Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, and Com. M. Vijayakumar, President, met Shri Rajeev Kaushik, PGM (SR), and Shri S.P. Singh, PGM (Estt.), and expressed their strong dissatisfaction over the dissolution of the existing committee constituted for the revision of Perks and Allowances and the formation of a new committee excluding various allowances from its purview. The leaders pointed out that the decision to constitute the committee was taken in the National Council meeting and that the committee had been functioning for nearly one year. They strongly objected to the Management's unilateral decision to dissolve the committee and reconstitute it without any discussion with the recognised unions. BSNLEU has registered its protest against this arbitrary action and demanded that all allowances be included within the scope of the committee. They have also demanded to include Staff Side representation in the Committee. A protest letter on the subject has also been submitted to the Director (HR).
