Transfers to be kept under abeyance on account of 8th Membership Verification.
Consequent to the issuing of the Notification for holding the 8th Membership Verification, the Corporate Office has issued letter, stating that, transfers are to be kept under abeyance, till the 8th Membership Verification is completed. The BSNL Corporate Office has issued fresh instructions to be followed w.e.f. 01st August, 2020, in the context of COVID-19 pandemic situation. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued fresh guidelines on 29th July, 2020, to be implemented w.e.f. 01st August, 2020. The letter contains guidelines regarding activities which are permitted, as well as not permitted, inside the Containment Zone and outside the Containment Zone.

The DPE has issued letter, incorporating the government order, to enhance the ceiling of gratuity, to be paid to Public Sector employees. The ceiling is enhanced from Rs.10 lakh to Rs.20 lakh.

Corporate Office has issued letter to all the CGMs on the matter of Consolidation of SSAs into Business Areas. Presently there are 198 Business Areas. However, some of them are with very less telephone connections. Hence, Corporate Office wishes to further Consolidate the Business Areas, by reducing their numbers. The CGMs have been directed to give their proposals on this matter.
