The Hon’ble CAT of Ernakulam and Hon’ble CAT of Hyderabad have given judgements in the matter of regularisation of the RTPs / Short Duty Employees, from the due date. BSNLEU has taken up this issue with the Management, with a request to implement the judgement of the Hon’ble CATs. In the meanwhile, many employees are contacting CHQ and are asking for copies of the Hon’ble CAT judgements. The orders are enclosed for the benefit of such comrades.
After declaration of the results of the JAO LICE, held in July 2016, some of the selected candidates did not join, due to their selection as JTO, etc. BSNLEU demanded that such resultant vacancies should be filled up with qualified candidates. But, it was rejected by the Management. Now, the Corporate Office has decided that such resultant vacancies could be filled up with the qualified candidates.
According to the Recruitment Rules, an official should have completed 5 years’ of service in the 9020-17430 pay scale, for appearing in the JE LICE. BSNLEU has taken up the demand that the pre-appointment training, undergone by the Non-Executives, should also be counted to calculate this residency period. This issue was discussed by the leaders of BSNLEU, with Ms. Anima Roy, GM (Estt.), on 17.11.2017 also. The GM (Estt.) accepted the demand and assured that order will be issued shortly. Accordingly the letter has been issued by Corporate Office today.
BSNLEU has already demanded that the JE LICE should be conducted not as an online exam, but it should be conducted as on off line exam. This demand is raised in view of the fact that most of the candidates appearing the JE LICE are belonging to the line staff category, who do not possess the working knowledge of computer. The Recruitment Branch of Corporate Office has rejected the demand.
BSNLEU is continuously pursuing the settlement of anomalies, which arose in the 1st wage revision w.e.f. 01.10.2000. This issue was once again discussed with the GM (Estt.) by the GS, BSNLEU on 09.11.2017. In that meeting it was told by the Management Side that, the DoT wants to know the financial implication of this issue. BSNL Corporate Office has written to the CGMs yesterday, requesting to send the requisite inputs in the format that is enclosed. All circle secretaries are requested to take up this issue with their respective CGMs, and arrange to send the requisite inputs to the Corporate Office at the earliest.
