Corporate Office issues clarification on nomination to the Local Councils of Non-territorial circles.

As regards nomination of Staff Side members to the Local Councils of circle headquarters and SSAs, the Corporate Office has issued guidelines, laying down certain restrictions. Accordingly, only the employees posted in the circle headquarters/ SSAs could be nominated to those Local Councils. As regards Non-territorial circles, they don’t have recruiting power, and only employees of territorial circles work there on deputation. Hence, BSNLEU demanded that the serving / retired employees of territorial circles, in the station where Local Councils of Non-territorial are formed, should be allowed to be nominated to those Local Councils.
