The DoT, vide it’s letter dated 29-05-2020, has appointed Shri V.Ramesh as the Director(Enterprise) of BSNL. Shri V. Ramesh will hold this post till his retirement on 31.07.2024. The Director(Enterprise) is a very important post in BSNL, so far as revenue generation is concerned. BSNLEU heartily congratulates Shri V. Ramesh and wishes him all success in his new assignment.
As per the decision already taken by the BSNL Corporate Office, on the issue of changing union membership, the BSNL Corporate Office has issued letter yesterday the, 3rd June, 2020. According to this letter, the option to change union membership (deduction of subscription) will be allowed from 16.06.2020 to 15.07.2020. All circle and district secretaries are requested to kindly make note of this and to take the needful action. It is also informed that the next process to change union membership, by way of submitting option, will take place only next year, i.e., between 16th June, to 15th July, 2021.
In the ongoing COVID-19 scenario, it will be difficult for the patients to consult the doctors and get new prescriptions for their treatments. Considering this difficulty, the Corporate Office has issued letter, wherein it is stated that, outdoor treatment claims, which are not older than 6 months would be permitted.
BSNL Corporate Office has issued letter, for utilising the experienced BSNL VRS optees in the sales and marketing activities for selling prepaid and postpaid mobile connections. It is called BREADS (BSNL Retried Employee Associate Distributor – Sales) Policy, 2020.
The next CEC meeting of BSNLEU is being held at Vadodara on 06th & 07th March, 2020. The BSNL Corporate Office has approved the sanctioning of Special CL to the CEC members, for attending the meeting.
The issue of non-remittance of LIC premium amount, deducted from the salaries of employees, is being repeatedly taken up with the CMD BSNL, by BSNLEU. A number of times, BSNLEU has discussed this with the CMD BSNL. A few days back also, BSNLEU has written to the CMD BSNL, citing that the LIC is demanding interest and GST thereon, for the belated premium payment. Yesterday, the Corporate Office has written to all the CGMs, calling for inputs. All know that, LIC premium was not remitted, only because the Corporate Office did not allot fund. But, now, the Corporate Office is questioning the CGMs, why LIC premium is not remitted? BSNLEU wants prompt action by the Management to settle this issue. Eye wash type of action will not help the employees.
The BSNL Corporate Office, vide letter number 1-14/2018-PAT(BSNL) dated 15th April, 2020, has issued letter to all the CGMs. According to this letter, one day's pay (basic pay + DA) will be deducted from April, 2020 salary of the employees, for the PM CARES FUND. It is stated in the letter that, the contribution is purely voluntary. Any employee who is unwilling to contribute one day salary to the PM CARES FUND, can inform their unwillingness to the DDO in writing before 25.04.2020, says the letter. A good number of members of BSNLEU have already contributed handsome amount to the “Contract Workers Relief Fund”, to help the contract workers, who are suffering from the COVID-19 lock-down. If any such comrade is unwilling to contribute one day salary to the PM CARES FUND, they can inform the same in writing to the DDO before 25.04.2020.
पीएम केयर्स फण्ड में एक दिन के वेतन का योगदान.
BSNL कॉर्पोरेट ऑफिस द्वारा सभी CGMs को पत्र क्रं 1-14/2018-PAT(BSNL) दिनांक 15 अप्रैल, 2020 प्रेषित किया गया है। इस पत्र के अनुसार पीएम केयर्स फण्ड हेतु कर्मचारियों के अप्रैल, 2020 के वेतन से एक दिन के वेतन (मूल वेतन+DA) की कटौती की जाएगी। उक्त पत्र में उल्लेख किया गया है कि यह योगदान पूर्णतः स्वैच्छिक है। पत्र के अनुसार, जो भी कर्मचारी पीएम केयर्स फण्ड में एक दिन के वेतन का योगदान देने हेतु इच्छुक नही है, वह अपनी अनिच्छा बाबद 25.04.2020 के पूर्व DDO को सूचित कर सकता है। बड़ी संख्या में BSNLEU के सदस्यों द्वारा अच्छी खासी राशि का योगदान कोविड-19 लॉक डाउन से आहत कॉन्ट्रैक्ट वर्कर्स की सहायता हेतु "कॉन्ट्रैक्ट वर्कर्स रिलीफ फण्ड" में किया जा चुका है। ऐसा कोई भी साथी यदि पीएम केयर्स फण्ड में अपना योगदान देने का इच्छुक नही है, वह 25.04.2020 के पूर्व DDO को लिखित में सूचित कर सकता है।
Consequent to the re-classification of Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation, BSNLEU has taken up the issue of revised ‘Y’ Class city HRA to be paid to the employees posted in the Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation. CHQ vigorously pursued the order with the Establishment Branch of the Corporate Office. The Corporate Office has now issued the necessary letter to pay ‘Y’ Class city HRA for the BSNL employees posted in Mathura and Vrindavan Municipal Corporation.
Polling for the second Membership Verification, for granting recognition to the Executives’ Associations, was held on 18th &19th August, 2020. Counting was completed on 22nd August, 2020. Based on this, the Corporate Office has declared the results. AIGETOA has secured 11,930 votes (40.23%) and has secured the first position. SNEA has got 11,158 votes (37.6%) and has secured second position. BSNLEU heartily congratulates AIGETOA and SNEA for this victory.
