The meeting of the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) was held on 15.06.2024 for selecting the next Director (Enterprise) of BSNL. Totally 11 persons appeared in this selection. Finally, the PESB has recommended Shri SUDHAKARARAO PAPA, who is presently the CGM of Chennai Telephones Circle, as the next Director (Enterprise) of BSNL. This selection will now go for the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet(ACC). BSNLEU heartily congratulates Shri SUDHAKARARAO PAPA for his selection by the PESB.

सार्वजनिक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड ने श्री सुधाकरराव पापा को बीएसएनएल के अगले निदेशक (एंटरप्राइज़) के रूप में अनुशंसित किया है।

बीएसएनएल के अगले निदेशक (एंटरप्राइज़) के चयन के लिए सार्वजनिक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड (पीईएसबी) की बैठक 15.06.2024 को आयोजित की गई थी। इस चयन में कुल 11 व्यक्ति शामिल हुए। अंत में, पीईएसबी ने श्री सुधाकरराव पापा, जो वर्तमान में चेन्नई टेलीफोन सर्कल के चीफ जनरल मैनेजर हैं, को बीएसएनएल के अगले निदेशक (एंटरप्राइज़) के रूप में अनुशंसित किया है। यह चयन अब कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति (एसीसी) के अनुमोदन के लिए जाएगा। BSNLEU श्री सुधाकरराव पापा को पीईएसबी द्वारा उनके चयन के लिए हार्दिक बधाई देता है।

The BSNL Corporate Office has issued letter on 13.06.2024, informing that all network hospitals under Fortis Healthcare have agreed for providing medical health care services to BSNL employees, retirees and their dependents on CGHS cash payment basis. The Corporate Office has requested the circle heads to enter into agreement with Fortis Network Hospitals in their respective circles, since these hospitals are separate legal entities.Copy of the Corporate Office letter is enclosed for information.

फोर्टिस नेटवर्क अस्पताल बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों और सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारियों को स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करेंगे। 

बीएसएनएल कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय ने 13.06.2024 को पत्र जारी कर सूचित किया है कि फोर्टिस हेल्थकेयर के अंतर्गत आने वाले सभी नेटवर्क अस्पताल बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों, सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारियों और उनके आश्रितों को सीजीएचएस नकद भुगतान के आधार पर चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए सहमत हो गए हैं। कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय ने सर्किल प्रमुखों से अनुरोध किया है कि वे अपने-अपने सर्किल में फोर्टिस नेटवर्क अस्पतालों के साथ समझौता करें, क्योंकि ये अस्पताल अलग-अलग कानूनी संस्थाएं हैं। कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय के पत्र की प्रति जानकारी के लिए संलग्न है। 

The Constitution of BSNLEU envisages the functioning of the Union at the district level also. The BSNL Management has also recognised the functioning of the trade union at the district level. In all circles, the district unions are recognised. However, in Chennai circle, the district unions are not recognised. BSNLEU has written letter to the CGM (SR), BSNL Corporate Office today and has requested for the early solution of this problem.

चेन्नई सर्किल में जिला यूनियनों की मान्यता सुनिश्चित करें - BSNLEU ने चीफ जनरल मैनेजर (एसआर), बीएसएनएल कॉरपोरेट कार्यालय को पत्र लिखा।

BSNLEU के संविधान में जिला स्तर पर भी यूनियन के कामकाज की परिकल्पना की गई है। बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन ने जिला स्तर पर ट्रेड यूनियन के कामकाज को भी मान्यता दी है। सभी सर्किलों में जिला यूनियनों को मान्यता दी गई है। हालांकि, चेन्नई सर्किल में जिला यूनियनों को मान्यता नहीं दी गई है। BSNLEU ने आज चीफ जनरल मैनेजर (एसआर), बीएसएनएल कॉरपोरेट कार्यालय को पत्र लिखकर इस समस्या के जल्द समाधान का अनुरोध किया है।

BSNLEU has already informed that, as per the increase in the consumer price index, the increase in the IDA works out to 216.8% w.e.f. 01-04-2024 for the pay scales of 2007. The DPE has issued letter yesterday, announcing that the IDA has increased to 216.8% w.e.f. 01-04-2024. Copy of the DPE letter is enclosed for the information of the comrades.

BSNLEU ने पहले ही सूचित कर दिया है कि उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक में वृद्धि के अनुसार 2007 के वेतनमानों के लिए आईडीए में वृद्धि 01-04-2024 से 216.8% होगी। डीपीई ने कल पत्र जारी कर घोषणा की है कि आईडीए 01-04-2024 से बढ़ाकर 216.8% कर दिया गया है। डीपीई के पत्र की प्रति साथियों की जानकारी के लिए संलग्न है। 

It is once again brought to the notice of the Circle Secretaries and the CHQ office bearers that, the monthly union subscription of BSNLEU is to be collected at the rate of Rs.70/- per member, per month. In this connection, the Corporate Office letter dated 10^th September, 2021, directing to deduct Rs.70 as BSNLEU subscription, is enclosed herewith for the information of all. It has been brought to the notice of the CHQ that, still, in some of the districts of certain circles, the Union subscription is being collected at the old rate. This is violation of the Union constitution. Hence, all the Circle Secretaries, District Secretaries and the CHQ office bearers are requested to kindly ensure that Rs.70/- per member is compulsorily collected from all the BSNLEU members in their respective circles.

एक बार फिर सर्किल सचिवों एवं सीएचक्यू पदाधिकारियों के संज्ञान में लाया जाता है कि *BSNLEU का मासिक यूनियन सदस्यता शुल्क 70 रुपये प्रति सदस्य प्रतिमाह* की दर से लिया जाना है। इस संबंध में कॉरपोरेट कार्यालय का दिनांक 10 सितंबर, 2021 का पत्र जिसमें BSNLEU सदस्यता शुल्क के रूप में 70 रुपये काटने का निर्देश दिया गया है, सभी की जानकारी हेतु संलग्न है। सीएचक्यू के संज्ञान में लाया गया है कि अभी भी कुछ सर्किलों के कुछ जिलों में यूनियन सदस्यता शुल्क पुरानी दर से लिया जा रहा है। यह यूनियन संविधान का उल्लंघन है। अतः सभी सर्किल सचिवों, जिला सचिवों एवं सीएचक्यू पदाधिकारियों से अनुरोध है कि कृपया यह सुनिश्चित करें कि उनके संबंधित सर्किलों में सभी BSNLEU सदस्यों से 70 रुपये प्रति सदस्य अनिवार्य रूप से लिया जाए।

BSNLEU expresses its shock and grief over the killing of 49 migrant workers in a fire accident in Kuwait. Among those who killed, 40 workers are Indian migrant workers, most of them from Kerala. The killing of the innocent 49 workers speaks volumes about the appalling working conditions of the migrant workers in Kuwait and other Middle-East countries. The Prime Minister of India has announced a relief of Rs.2 lakh to each of the victims. But, it is the most important duty of the government of India to ensure that proper working conditions are made available to all the Indian migrant workers. The External Affairs Ministry should take meaningful steps in this direction.

कुवैत में आग दुर्घटना में 49 प्रवासी श्रमिकों की मौत।

BSNLEU कुवैत में आग दुर्घटना में 49 प्रवासी श्रमिकों की मौत पर दुख और शोक व्यक्त करता है। मरने वालों में 40 भारतीय प्रवासी श्रमिक हैं, जिनमें से अधिकांश केरल से हैं। 49 निर्दोष श्रमिकों की मौत कुवैत और अन्य मध्य-पूर्व देशों में प्रवासी श्रमिकों की भयावह कार्य स्थितियों के बारे में बहुत कुछ बताती है। भारत के प्रधान मंत्री ने प्रत्येक पीड़ित को 2 लाख रुपये की सहायता राशि देने की घोषणा की है। लेकिन, यह सुनिश्चित करना भारत सरकार का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कर्तव्य है कि सभी भारतीय प्रवासी श्रमिकों को उचित कार्य स्थितियां उपलब्ध कराई जाएं। विदेश मंत्रालय को इस दिशा में सार्थक कदम उठाने चाहिए।

Com. Animesh Mitra, President and Com. John Verghese, Acting General Secretary, met Shri S.P.Singh, PGM (Estt) yesterday and discussed about the issue of non-issuing of Presidential Orders to 7 RMs in Bihar Circle, who have come on transfer from Assam circle. The Union representatives pointed out that, the issue is being messed up by the Assam and Bihar circle administrations, since 2020 and sought the immediate intervention of the Corporate Office on the matter. The Union representatives handed over BSNLEU’s letter to the Management on this issue.

Com. Animesh Mitra, President and Com. John Verghese, Acting General Secretary, met Shri Sanjiv Tyagi, PGM (Admn.) yesterday and discussed about the issue of denial of career progression to some of the outstanding sports personnel. The Union representatives pointed out that, genuine cases of career progression of some of the outstanding sports personnel, duly recommended by their respective CGMs, are being wilfully ignored by the administration. The Union questioned the administration’s attitude of ignoring the recommendations of the CGMs from various circles. BSNLEU expressed strong resentment towards the biased handling of the cases by the Sports Cell in the Corporate Office. After detailed discussion, the PGM(Admin.) agreed to review the cases with due care.

छूटे हुए खेल कर्मियों की कैरियर प्रगति – BSNLEU ने प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (प्रशासन) से चर्चा की।

अध्यक्ष साथी अनिमेष मित्रा और कार्यवाहक महासचिव साथी जॉन वर्गीस ने कल प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (प्रशासन) श्री संजीव त्यागी से मुलाकात की और कुछ उत्कृष्ट खेल कर्मियों को कैरियर प्रगति से वंचित करने के मुद्दे पर चर्चा की। यूनियन के प्रतिनिधियों ने बताया कि कुछ उत्कृष्ट खेल कर्मियों के कैरियर प्रगति के वास्तविक मामलों, जिनकी उनके संबंधित चीफ जनरल मैनेजर द्वारा विधिवत अनुशंसा की गई थी, को प्रशासन द्वारा जानबूझकर नजरअंदाज किया जा रहा है। यूनियन ने विभिन्न सर्किलों के चीफ जनरल मैनेजर की अनुशंसाओं की अनदेखी करने के प्रशासन के रवैये पर सवाल उठाया। BSNLEU ने कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय में खेल प्रकोष्ठ द्वारा मामलों के पक्षपातपूर्ण संचालन के प्रति कड़ी नाराजगी व्यक्त की। विस्तृत चर्चा के बाद प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (प्रशासन) ने उचित सावधानी के साथ मामलों की समीक्षा करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की।

BSNLEU strongly condemns the cowardly killing of 9 pilgrims by terrorists in Jammu, last Sunday (09-06-2024). Terrorists had made gun firing at the pilgrims' bus going from Shiv Khori temple to Katra. The driver of the bus lost control and the bus had fallen into a gorge. Apart from the killing of 9 pilgrims, thirty-three more pilgrims were injured. BSNLEU conveys it's condolences to the families of the killed pilgrims.

BSNLEU जम्मू में पिछले रविवार (09-06-2024) को आतंकवादियों द्वारा 9 तीर्थयात्रियों की कायरतापूर्ण हत्या की कड़ी निंदा करता है। आतंकवादियों ने शिव खोरी मंदिर से कटरा जा रहे तीर्थयात्रियों की बस पर गोलीबारी की थी। बस के चालक ने नियंत्रण खो दिया और बस खाई में गिर गई। 9 तीर्थयात्रियों की हत्या के अलावा, तैंतीस और तीर्थयात्री घायल हो गए। BSNLEU मारे गए तीर्थयात्रियों के परिवारों के प्रति अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त करता है।
