Today, BSNLEU has written letter to the PGM(Admn.), Corporate Office, regarding the Career Progression of two more left out cases of outstanding sports persons, from Assam circle.

CHQ is saddened to know that, Com.Balkaran Yadav, District President, BSNLEU, Moradabad, UP (West) circle, has suddenly passed away today morning. Com.Balkaran Yadav, had been very active in the functioning of BSNLEU and is only around 54 years old. The CHQ of BSNLEU pays it’s respectful homage to Com.Balkaran Yadav and conveys it’s heartfelt condolences to the family members of Com.Balkaran Yadav and also to the comrades of Moradabad district.

सीएचक्यू को यह जानकर दुख हुआ कि BSNLEU, मुरादाबाद, उत्तर प्रदेश (पश्चिम) सर्कल के जिला अध्यक्ष साथी बलकरन यादव का आज सुबह अचानक निधन हो गया। साथी बलकरन यादव BSNLEU के कामकाज में बहुत सक्रिय थे और उनकी उम्र लगभग 54 वर्ष थी। BSNLEU का सीएचक्यू साथी बलकरन यादव को अपनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करता है और साथी बलकरन यादव के परिवार के सदस्यों और मुरादाबाद जिले के साथियों के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना व्यक्त करता है।

In the last Wage Revision Committee meeting held on 19.12.2024, it was agreed by both the Management Side and the Staff Side that, the Staff Side would give fresh live cases of stagnation, based on 5% fitment. It was also decided that, soon after submitting the live cases, there would be an informal discussion between the Staff Side and the Management Side, to verify whether the live cases submitted by the Staff Side are correct or not. Based on this, on 23.12.2024 itself, BSNLEU submitted 90 live cases of stagnation based on 5% fitment. Thereafter, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met the PGM(SR) on 09.01.2025 and insisted for the informal discussion to verify the claims for live cases of stagnation. As a result, the informal discussion was arranged on that day itself. From the Management Side, the DGM(SR) and AGM (Estt.) were present. On behalf of BSNLEU, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, presented the live cases of stagnation to the Management. In the discussion, it was proved that, the live stagnation cases submitted by BSNLEU are all genuine. As the next step, meeting of the Joint Committee for Wage Revision will be held and the Staff Side will demand for modification of the pay scales to avoid the stagnations, as submitted by BSNLEU.

वेतन संशोधन  -  09.01.2025 को कर्मचारी पक्ष और प्रबंधन पक्ष के बीच अनौपचारिक चर्चा हुई - स्थगन के जीवित मामलों के दावों का सत्यापन किया गया। 

19.12.2024 को आयोजित पिछली वेतन संशोधन समिति की बैठक में प्रबंधन पक्ष और कर्मचारी पक्ष दोनों द्वारा यह सहमति व्यक्त की गई थी कि कर्मचारी पक्ष 5% फिटमेंट के आधार पर स्थगन के नए मामले देगा। यह भी निर्णय लिया गया कि, जीवित मामलों को प्रस्तुत करने के तुरंत बाद, कर्मचारी पक्ष और प्रबंधन पक्ष के बीच एक अनौपचारिक चर्चा होगी, ताकि यह सत्यापित किया जा सके कि कर्मचारी पक्ष द्वारा प्रस्तुत किए गए जीवित मामले सही हैं या नहीं। इसके आधार पर 23.12.2024 को ही BSNLEU ने 5% फिटमेंट के आधार पर स्थगन के 90 जीवित मामले प्रस्तुत किए। इसके बाद साथी पी. अभिमन्यु, महासचिव ने 09.01.2025 को प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (एसआर) से मुलाकात की और स्थगन के मौजूदा मामलों के दावों को सत्यापित करने के लिए अनौपचारिक चर्चा के लिए जोर दिया। परिणामस्वरूप, उस दिन ही अनौपचारिक चर्चा की व्यवस्था की गई। प्रबंधन की ओर से डेप्युटी जनरल मैनेजर (एसआर) और असिस्टेंट जनरल मैनेजर (एस्टा) उपस्थित थे। BSNLEU की ओर से साथी पी. अभिमन्यु, महासचिव ने प्रबंधन को स्थगन के मौजूदा मामले प्रस्तुत किए। चर्चा में, यह साबित हुआ कि BSNLEU द्वारा प्रस्तुत किए गए स्थगन के सभी मामले वास्तविक हैं। अगले कदम के रूप में, वेतन संशोधन के लिए संयुक्त समिति की बैठक आयोजित की जाएगी और कर्मचारी पक्ष BSNLEU द्वारा प्रस्तुत स्थगन से बचने के लिए वेतनमान में संशोधन की मांग करेगा। 

World over, the working class has conducted heroic struggles and shed their blood, to achieve the goal of “8 hour work per day”. The May Day martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Chicago, raised the demand of “8 hour work, 8 hour sleep and 8 hour entertainment”. Thus, it is only through struggles and sacrifices that, the working class has achieved the 8 hour working day, which comes to 48 hours of work per week. A few months back, Indian industrialist, Narayanamurthy, made a statement that, the working hours in India should be increased to 70 hours per week. This view of Narayanamurthy came under severe criticism. Now, S.N. Subramanian, the Chairman of L&T, has advocated that, Indian workers should work for 90 hours per week. He has also stated that, workers should work on Sunday also. To strengthen his argument for increasing the working hours to 90 hours per week, the L&T Chairman has asked, “how long can you stare at your wife?” These big corporates like Narayanamurthy and S.N. Subramanian want to take the world back to the olden days, when workers were forced to work in the factories from sun-rise to sun-set. But, the working class will not allow that to happen.

पूरी दुनिया में मजदूर वर्ग ने “प्रतिदिन 8 घंटे काम” के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए वीरतापूर्ण संघर्ष किए हैं और अपना खून बहाया है। शिकागो में अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले मई दिवस के शहीदों ने “8 घंटे काम, 8 घंटे नींद और 8 घंटे मनोरंजन” की मांग उठाई थी। इस प्रकार, संघर्ष और बलिदान के माध्यम से ही मजदूर वर्ग ने 8 घंटे का कार्य दिवस हासिल किया है, जो प्रति सप्ताह 48 घंटे काम के बराबर है। कुछ महीने पहले, भारतीय उद्योगपति नारायणमूर्ति ने एक बयान दिया था कि, भारत में काम के घंटे बढ़ाकर प्रति सप्ताह 70 घंटे कर दिए जाने चाहिए। नारायणमूर्ति के इस विचार की कड़ी आलोचना हुई। अब, एलएंडटी के चेयरमैन एसएन सुब्रमण्यन ने वकालत की है कि, भारतीय श्रमिकों को प्रति सप्ताह 90 घंटे काम करना चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा है कि, श्रमिकों को रविवार को भी काम करना चाहिए। काम के घंटे बढ़ाकर 90 घंटे प्रति सप्ताह करने के अपने तर्क को मजबूत करने के लिए एलएंडटी के चेयरमैन ने पूछा है, "आप अपनी पत्नी को कितनी देर तक घूर सकते हैं?" नारायणमूर्ति और एस.एन. सुब्रमण्यन जैसे ये बड़े कॉरपोरेट दुनिया को पुराने दिनों में वापस ले जाना चाहते हैं, जब मजदूरों को सूर्योदय से सूर्यास्त तक कारखानों में काम करने के लिए मजबूर किया जाता था। लेकिन, मजदूर वर्ग ऐसा नहीं होने देगा।

The joint Circle Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU and AIBDPA, NTR circle, is held today in the BSNLEU office of NTR circle. Com.Sishodia and Com.R.C. Malhotra, presided over the meeting. Circle Executive Committee members of BSNLEU and AIBDPA participated. Com.R.S. Chauhan, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, welcomed everyone and briefly spoke on the agenda items. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, BSNLEU, delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, the General Secretary, spoke in detail on the issues of non-settlement of Wage Revision, pension revision of the retired employees, the threat of implementing 2^nd VRS in BSNL, complaints regarding quality of BSNL’s 4G service and other issues. Com.Sishodia and R.C. Malhotra, spoke on the problems being faced by the pensioners. Finally, the General Secretary replied to the issues raised in the Executive Committee members. In the meeting, three office bearers are elected against the vacancies in BSNLEU’s circle union. The meeting ended with raising of slogans.

As has already been informed, the 40th meeting of the National Council will be held on 13.01.2025. All the Staff Side members from BSNLEU are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

Since Shri Saurabh Tyagi, Chairman of the Joint Committee for Wage Revision has retired on VR on 03.01.2025, there is need to reconstitute the Committee by appointing a new Chairman. In his discussion with Ms. Anita Johri, PGM(SR), today, Com.P.Abhimnyu, GS, raised this issue and insisted for an early reconstitution of the Joint Committee for Wage Revision, by appointing a new Chairman. The PGM(SR), replied that the Management has already initiated action and file has been moved for appointing the new Chairman. Decision on holding the next meeting of the Joint Committee for Wage Revision will be taken after the new Chairman is appointed.

चूंकि वेतन संशोधन के लिए संयुक्त समिति के अध्यक्ष श्री सौरभ त्यागी 03.01.2025 को वीआर पर सेवानिवृत्त हो चुके हैं, इसलिए नए अध्यक्ष की नियुक्ति करके समिति का पुनर्गठन करने की आवश्यकता है। आज प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (एसआर) सुश्री अनीता जौहरी के साथ अपनी चर्चा में साथी पी. अभिमन्यु, महासचिव ने इस मुद्दे को उठाया और नए अध्यक्ष की नियुक्ति करके वेतन संशोधन के लिए संयुक्त समिति के शीघ्र पुनर्गठन पर जोर दिया। प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (एसआर) ने जवाब दिया कि प्रबंधन ने पहले ही कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है और नए अध्यक्ष की नियुक्ति के लिए फाइल आगे बढ़ा दी गई है। नए अध्यक्ष की नियुक्ति के बाद वेतन संशोधन के लिए संयुक्त समिति की अगली बैठक आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया जाएगा।

As regards the Wage Revision, it was decided in the last meeting held on 19.12.2024, that the Staff Side would submit live stagnation cases based on 5% fitment and thereafter there would be an informal discussion between the Staff Side members and the Management, to discuss the live cases submitted by the Staff Side. In accordance with this, BSNLEU has already submitted 90 live cases on 23.12.2024 itself. Today, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met Ms. Anita Johri, PGM(SR) and discussed about the further steps to be taken on this issue. Immediately, the PGM(SR) spoke to the PGM(Estt.) and fixed the informal discussion which will take place at 03:00 pm today. BSNLEU will participate in this informal discussion.

As regards, conducting Special JTO LICE for the Draftsman cadre, the CGM (BW) has already communicated the details of the sanctioned posts to the Recruitment Branch. Now, the Recruitment Branch has to initiate action for holding the Special JTO LICE. However, no action is taken so far, since Shri Saurabh Tyagi, PGM(Rectt. & Trng.) has gone on voluntary retirement on 03.01.2025. Today, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met Shri S.P. Singh, PGM (Estt.), who is also holding the additional charge of Recruitment and Training and discussed this issue. The General Secretary informed that, this matter is getting abnormally delayed and urged that the Recruitment Branch should take early action to hold the Special JTO LICE. Shri S.P. Singh, PGM(Estt.) noted the points and assured that expeditious action would be taken.

It is already known that the Central Government is trying to implement four new Labour Codes, which are anti-worker and pro-corporate. These new four Labour Codes are being brought in the place of 29 Labour Laws, which have been implemented after independence, as a result of militant struggles and sacrifices of the working class. By implementing the four new Labour Codes, the Central Government wants to crush the trade union movement and to prevent all strike actions by the trade unions. The Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions held it’s meeting at New Delhi on 06.01.2025 and noted with serious concern that, the Central Government is taking all out efforts to implement the four Labour Codes, despite various struggles by the Central Trade Unions, opposing them. The Central Trade Unions have called upon the entire working class to prepare for serious struggles, including strike, to stop the four Labour Codes. The Central Trade Unions have decided to organise an All India Strike, the date of which will be announced in due course. BSNLEU is part of the Joint Platform and will implement the call of the Central Trade Unions.
