A meeting of the AUAB was held today. The meeting reviewed the developments in connection with the notice for agitation, already issued by the AUAB, demanding settlement of the grievances of the employees, as well as the revival of BSNL. The meeting observed that, the Management is not prepared to settle even the barest minimum of the demands, i.e., payment of salary, as well as the immediate remittance of the deductions already made from the salaries of the employees, on account of GPF, bank loan EMI, society dues, LIC premium, union / association subscription amount, etc., to the concerned organisations. Further, the meeting also noted with regrets that, except retrenching around 80,000 employees under VRS, the BSNL Management has not taken any step for the revival of BSNL, as envisaged in the Revival Plan approved by the Union Cabinet on 23.10.2019, including the launching of BSNL’s 4G service.

Hence, after detailed discussion, the meeting unanimously decided to powerfully organise the hunger strike programme on 24.02.2020.

Don't import oil from Iran - United States dictates India.

The United States had already taken an arrogant decision that no country should import oil from Iran. This is because, the United States has imposed sanctions on Iran. However, the United States had given relaxation to 8 countries, including to India, for a period of 6 months. This 6 month period comes to an end on 02nd May, 2019. So, from 03rd May, 2019 onwards, India should not import oil from Iran. India is an independent country and not a slave of the United States. India has the liberty to import oil from Iran or from any other country. It is not the business of the United States to dictate from whom India should import oil and from whom it should not do so. It is evident that the United States is behaving as an international rowdy. If it is beneficial to it’s people, India should disobey the United States and should continue to import oil from Iran.

Director (HR) BSNL holds discussions on the road map for revival of BSNL.

We have come to know that the Director (HR) has conducted a meeting with certain organisations yesterday, on the road-map for the revival of BSNL. It is extremely strange to note that the road-map for revival of BSNL was discussed without any official intimation to BSNLEU, which is the Main Recognised Representative Union in BSNL. GS, BSNLEU, has communicated his protest to the Director (HR), through Whatsapp. He has also informed that, the Management should not involve in “Divide & Rule Policy”. In times, we have seen that the BSNL Management taking extra ordinary interest in communicating with certain organisations. Thus, we are at loss to understand, how the Management could conduct such a crucial meeting without any official intimation to the Main Recognised Representative Union.

Hindi translation of "AUAB decides to powerfully organise the hunger strike on 24.02.2020, at the Corporate Office, Circle and SSA headquarters".
