Modi government decides to sell Air India at "throw away" price.

The government of India has launched a mad drive  to privatise Air India. Since it's earlier attempt made in 2018, did not get any result, the Government has made the offer more attractive now. In 2018, Government decided to sell only it's 76% stake in Air India. But now, it has decided to sell it's entire 100% stake to the private. In 2018, Government offered to bear Air India's debt only to the tune of Rs.15,000 crore. But now, it will bear the debt to the tune of Rs. 40,000 crore. Air India is having 146 aircrafts (86 are it's own) and is holding major share of the international traffic. Modi government's mad drive to sell Air India, is the best example of how the Government wants to kill our Public Sector.

Human chain programme was a grand success.

The human chain programme, called on by the unions and associations yesterday, was a grand success. The programme was an unprecedented success in New Delhi. Similarly, as per the reports being received from each and every district, the human chain programme has been massively participated in by the employees. Naturally, the newly forged unity of all the unions and associations in BSNL, has generated a great amount of enthusiasm among both the Non-Executives and Executives throughout the country. This human chain programme foretells that the forthcoming 2 day strike, to be held on 12th and 13th of December is also going to be a total success. The CHQ of BSNLEU heartily congratulates the entire employees, as well as all the unions and associations for making the human chain programme a grand success.

Hold protest lunch hour demonstrations on 08.01.2018, against the appointment of an IAS officer as the CMD of the Subsidiary Tower Company.

The unions and associations of BSNL are continuously opposing the formation of a Subsidiary Tower Company. A one day strike on 15.12.2016 and a two day strike on 12th & 13th December, 2017, have already been organised against the formation of Subsidiary Tower Company. Despite the stiff opposition from the entire BSNL employees, the government has appointed the CMD of the Subsidiary Tower Company. Further, it is shocking that an IAS officer is appointed as the CMD. This clearly shows that the Subsidiary Tower Company will remain under the control of the government and not under the control of BSNL. Hence, it is proved that through the Subsidiary Tower Company, the government is snatching away the entire mobile towers of BSNL. To express our immediate protest, “The All Unions and Associations of BSNL” have decided to organise protest lunch hour demonstrations on 08.01.2018, at the Corporate Office, Circle and District levels. Memorandum, addressed to the Secretary, DoT, shall also be submitted to the CGM’s on that day. The All Unions and Associations of BSNL is holding it’s meeting at 15:30 hrs. on 08.01.2018, to decide about the next course of action. Circle and district secretaries of BSNLEU are requested to effectively organise the lunch hour demonstrations, in coordination with the other constituents of “The All Unions and Associations of BSNL”.
