Online Attendance System – Corporate Office replies to the points raised by BSNLEU.

On 28.09.2022, BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL, raising the difficulties that would be faced by the Non-Executives in the implementation of Online Attendance System. The Corporate Office vide letter no.BSNL CO-ADMN/62/6/2020-ADMN-Part(1) dated 04.10.2022 has given replies to the issues raised BSNLEU. In that letter, the Admin Branch of the Corporate Office has given solutions to some of the problems raised by BSNLEU. Especially, the Corporate Office has stated that, the Controlling Officer can mark “present” in respect of the employees go for duty directly from home and work beyond office hours. However, the Corporate Office has not addressed many other issues. For example, issues related to the sports persons. BSNLEU will continue to take up all the unresolved issues.

Notifying the date for holding JE LICE - General Secretary speaks to the GM(Rectt.).

The JE LICE, scheduled to be held on 16-10-2022, has been postponed. BSNLEU has already written letter to the Director (HR), demanding that the date for holding the JE LICE should be notified without delay. In this connection, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, spoke to Ms. Samita Luthra, GM(Rectt.), today. The GM(Rectt.) replied that they are working on this and that the date would be announced shortly.

Holding of TT LICE - General Secretary speaks to the PGM(Estt.) and to the GM(Rectt.).

So far notification has not been issued for holding the TT LICE. BSNLEU has already written letter to the Director (HR), demanding that the TT LICE should be held expeditiously. In this connection, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, spoke to Shri Saurabh Tyagi, PGM(Estt.) and to Ms. Samita Luthra, GM(Rectt.) today and requested them to expeditiously take steps for holding the TT LICE. Both the officers have responded positively.

An effective election campaign meeting held at CGM office, Tamil Nadu circle, Chennai..

An effective election campaign meeting is organised during lunch hour today, in the Tamil Nadu CGM Office at Chennai. Comrades belonging to Chennai Telephones circle, as well as the CGM Office, Tamil Nadu circle, participated in large number in this meeting. Com.Basha, Circle President, Chennai Telephones circle, presided over. The meeting is addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Com.S.Chellappa, AGS, Com. Sridhara Subramanian, Circle Secretary, Chennai and Com.Raju, Circle Secretary, Tamil Nadu. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, spoke in detail in this meeting and highlighted about the anti-BSNL policies of the government, hurdles created in BSNL’s 4G launching, functioning of BSNLEU in the last 3 years, efforts taken to settle the Wage Revision issue and stagnation issue, the bold decision of BSNLEU in opposing the threats of dismissal under FR56(J), threats to increase the working hours, implementation of 2nd VRS, etc. The comrades who attended the meeting gave a patient hearing and assured to support BSNLEU massively in the 9th Membership Verification.

Patiala organises a marvellous election campaign meeting.

Patiala district union of Punjab circle organised a marvellous election campaign meeting today. A large number of employees participated in this meeting. It is significant to mention that, a sizable number of DR JEs participated in this meeting and expressed their support for BSNLEU. Com.Balbinder Singh, Vice President, Punjab circle, presided over the meeting. Com.Amandeep Singh, District Secretary, Patiala, delivered the welcome address. Com.P.C. Sharma, senior leader, conducted the proceedings. The meeting was addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary,  Com.H.S. Dhillon, Circle Secretary, Punjab circle and Com.Avtar Singh, District Secretary, Ludhiana. Addressing the meeting, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, stressed the need for a strong trade union movement in BSNL to safeguard and strengthen BSNL. He explained how BSNL is being weakened by the government, by not allowing the Company to adapt 4G and 5G technologies. He also exposed the hollow claims being made regarding the 2nd Revival Package. The General Secretary listed the achievements of BSNLEU during the past 3 years and urged upon the comrades of Punjab circle to massively vote for BSNLEU in the 9th Membership Verification.

Excellent election campaign meeting held at Jodhpur..

An excellent election campaign meeting is held at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, at 6:00 pm on 01.10.2022. A large number of employees participated in this meeting enthusiastically from faraway places. The Jodhpur district union had made very good arrangements for the meeting. Com. Ram Singh Rebari, District President, presided over the meeting. Com. Ramchandra Mirdh, circle vice-president, conducted the proceedings. Com. Bhikaram Bishnoi, District Secretary, delivered the welcome address. The meeting was addressed by Com. P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, together with Com.Ashok Pareek, circle secretary and Com.P.K.Jain, Organising Secretary(CHQ). In his address, the General Secretary called on the employees to safeguard BSNL from the discriminatory policies and measures of the government, which are ruining the Company. He also highlighted the 3 years of achievements of BSNLEU. The General Secretary explained in detail about the issues of wage revision, DR JEs, stagnation, new promotional policy to be achieved, etc. He called on the employees to massively vote on the mobile phone symbol and support BSNLEU.

Election campaign meeting held at Nashik on 30.09.2022.

9th Membership Verification campaign meeting was held at Nashik on 30.09.2022.  Com.John Verghese, Dy. GS, spoke about the role of BSNLEU in safeguarding BSNL, role of BSNLEU in forging unity amongst all Unions and associations, roadblocks created in the roll out of 4G. He appealed to make BSNLEU as the sole recognised union. Com.Prakash Sharma, AGS, BSNLEU, spoke in depth about the revival package, VRS, present situation of 4G, the role of government and Management in creating bottle necks for the growth of BSNL. Com.Ganesh Hinge, CS, Maharashtra, spoke about the issue of stagnation, 3rd PRC and the achievements of BSNLEU during the past 3 years.  Com Ravi Baviskar, CS, SNATTA called all to Vote for BSNLEU. Com. Anil Patil, DS, Nashik promised 100 percent votes from Nashik.  Felicitation program of 13 JE also organised who passed JTO exam recently. Lastly they appealed to all for casting vote in favour of BSNLEU.

Com.Ganesh Hinge, CS, Maharashtra spoke on issues related to stagnation and 3rd PRC. Com.Kautik Baste, DS, Kalyan, conducted the proceedings. Lastly they appealed to all for casting vote in favour of BSNLEU.

Granting full day leave for voting the 9th Membership Verification – Management accepts BSNLEU’s demand.

Earlier, Corporate Office had issued letter stating that, half day leave can be granted to the employees for voting in the 9thMembership Verification. However, BSNLEU wrote to the Management, demanding that, full day leave should be granted wherever necessary, in view of the very less number of polling booths, provided by the Management in the 9th MV. This demand of BSNLEU has been accepted and letter has been issued by the Corporate Office today, stating that half day or full day leave can be granted, as decided by the reporting officer. We welcome this decision of the Management.

BSNLEU is having a much higher paid membership than any other union..

Many wrong information are being mischievously spread in the social media, regarding the paid membership of BSNLEU and other unions.  This is being done to create confusion among the voters. 

 

It is an undeniable truth that, BSNLEU is having a much higher paid membership than the 2nd Recognised Union. The following are the real figures.

 

Total Non-Executives - 31,735.

BSNLEU - 15,502.

NFTE      - 9,514

BTEU       - 980

SEWA     - 5,779 (this includes dual membership, as well as Executives)

 

Note:- Membership of other unions and associations and non-members are not included.

IDA to increase by 5% with effect from 01-10-2022.

As per the Consumer Price Index numbers released by the Labour Bureau, IDA will increase by 5%, w.e.f 01-10-2022.  As of now, employees are getting 190.8% IDA. With the increase of 5.0% IDA, the total IDA will be 195.8% w.e.f 01-10-2022. This IDA increase will become payable after necessary order is issued by the DPE.

श्रम ब्यूरो द्वारा जारी उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक संख्या के अनुसार, आईडीए में 01-10-2022 से 5% की वृद्धि होगी।  फिलहाल कर्मचारियों को 190.8 फीसदी आईडीए मिल रहा है। 5.0% आईडीए की वृद्धि के साथ, 01-10-2022 से कुल आईडीए 195.8% हो जाएगा। डीपीई द्वारा आवश्यक आदेश जारी होने के बाद यह आईडीए वृद्धि देय हो जाएगी।

Inspiring election campaign meeting held at Ajmer, Rajasthan.

An inspiring election campaign meeting of BSNLEU was held at Ajmer, Rajasthan, today. The meeting was presided over by Com.Anand Singh, District President. Com.Lal Chand Meena, District Secretary, welcomed everyone. Com.V.K. Gaur, conducted the proceedings. The meeting was addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Com.Ashok Pareek, Circle Secretary, Com.P.K. Jain, Organising Secretary (CHQ) and Com.V.P. Sharma, Senior leader. Addressing the meeting, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, explained about the issues involved in the 9th Membership Verification. He stressed upon the need for a strong recognised union to defend BSNL, from the anti-BSNL policies of the government and the anti-employee measures of the BSNL Management. He referred to today’s media reports, according to which Shri P.K. Purwar, CMD BSNL, had stated that, BSNL would approach Reliance Jio, for the procurement of 4G equipments. He questioned why the Modi government did not allow BSNL to upgrade it’s own equipments, for conversion into 4G equipments and also why the government did not allow BSNL to procure 4G equipments from global vendors? The General Secretary underscored the need for a strong trade union in BSNL, for defending the interests of the employees and the future of the Company. The achievements of BSNLEU during the past 3 years were highlighted by Com.Ashok Pareek, Circle Secretary and Com.P.K. Jain, Organising Secretary (CHQ). The meeting ended with thanks giving by the President.

आज राजस्थान के अजमेर में BSNLEU की प्रेरक चुनाव प्रचार बैठक हुई।  बैठक की अध्यक्षता जिला अध्यक्ष साथी आनंद सिंह ने की । साथी लाल चंद मीणा, जिला सचिव ने सभी का स्वागत किया ।  साथी वी.के. गौर ने बैठक का संचालन किया।  बैठक को साथी पी.अभिमन्यु, महासचिव, साथी अशोक पारीक, सर्कल सचिव, साथी पी.के. जैन, आयोजन सचिव (सीएचक्यू) और साथी वी.पी.  शर्मा, वरिष्ठ नेता  ने संबोधित किया । बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए महासचिव साथी पी अभिमन्यु ने 9वीं सदस्यता सत्यापन में शामिल मुद्दों के बारे में बताया।  उन्होंने सरकार की बीएसएनएल विरोधी नीतियों और बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन के कर्मचारी विरोधी उपायों से बीएसएनएल की रक्षा के लिए एक मजबूत मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियन की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।  उन्होंने आज की मीडिया रिपोर्टों का हवाला दिया, जिसके अनुसार श्री पी.के.  पुरवार, सीएमडी बीएसएनएल, ने कहा था कि बीएसएनएल 4G उपकरणों की खरीद के लिए रिलायंस जियो से संपर्क करेगा।  उन्होंने सवाल किया कि मोदी सरकार ने बीएसएनएल को अपने उपकरणों को 4G उपकरणों में बदलने के लिए अपग्रेड करने की अनुमति क्यों नहीं दी और सरकार ने बीएसएनएल को वैश्विक विक्रेताओं से 4G उपकरण खरीदने की अनुमति क्यों नहीं दी ?  महासचिव ने कर्मचारियों के हितों और कंपनी के भविष्य की रक्षा के लिए बीएसएनएल में एक मजबूत ट्रेड यूनियन की आवश्यकता को रेखांकित किया।  पिछले 3 वर्षों के दौरान BSNLEU की उपलब्धियों पर साथी अशोक पारीक, सर्कल सचिव और साथी पी.के. जैन, आयोजन सचिव (सीएचक्यू) ने बात की । अध्यक्ष के धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ बैठक समाप्त हुई।

The 9th Membership Verification campaign meeting was held at PGM office, Aurangabad on 27.09.2022. The meeting addressed by Com.John Verghese Dy. General Secretary and explained in detail about the present financial crisis of BSNL and charged that the Government being solely responsible for it. He also explained the issues of allotment of 4G, National Monetisation Pipeline, issues related to 3rd PRC, Stagnation and other pending demands of the Non-Executives. Com.Animesh Mitra, President (CHQ) spoke in length about the role of CHQ, New Promotion Policy, 2nd Revival Package, Wage Negotiation. The meeting was also addressed by Com.Nagesh Kumar Nalawade, Circle President. He spoke on the role of BSNLEU in strengthening AUAB. Com.Yusuf Jakkati, Com.Gulunjkar, Com.Gulab Kale, Com. D.M. Pre basic training of qualified JTO candidates postponed.

The ALTTC has already issued letter for the commencement of the Pre-basic training of the qualified JTO candidates. This training was to commence on 10.10.2022. Since the 9th Membership Verification of the Non-Executives is taking place on 12.10.2022, BSNLEU has demanded postponement of this JTO Pre-basic training. Today, the Recruitment Branch of the Corporate Office has issued letter, postponing the Pre-basic training of the qualified JTO trainees to 17.10.2022.
