In the BSNL Athletics meet, held in Guwahati from 11^th to 13^th November, 2024, a good number of BSNLEU office bearers have won medals. Yesterday we gave some details. Apart from that, Com.Puneet Kumar, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, UP (West), has won Gold medal in the 81 kg weightlifting. He has also won Silver medal in the 93 kg powerlifting. CHQ heartily congratulates Com.Puneet Kumar, for winning double medals. Apart from this, Com.P.Thangaraj, TT, Salem, Tamil Nadu, has won Silver medal in powerlifting. Com.J. Edukondalu, ADS, BSNLEU, Nalgonda, Telangana circle, has won Bronze medal in the 120 kg category weightlifting.

CHQ is pleased to inform that, in the recently conducted BSNL Athletics Meet, Com.Vipin Soni, District Secretary, BSNLEU, Rewary, Haryana circle, has won Gold Medal. This Meet is held in Guwahati from 11th to 13th November, 2024. Com.Vipin Soni won Gold Medal in the 93 kg - 105 kg category weight lifting. Similarly, Com.Pankaj Atri, Circle President, BSNLEU, Corporate Office, has won Silver Medal in the 120 kg category weight lifting. Com.Devendar Kumar, Assistant Circle Secretary, BSNLEU, Corporate Office, has won Bronze Medal in the 72 kg category weight lifting. CHQ heartily congratulates all these leaders for their excellent performance in the All India BSNL Athletics Meet

BSNLEU has already informed that, the meeting of the Wage Negotiating Committee could not be held due to the illness of Shri R.K. Goyal, Chairman of the Wage Negotiating Committee and also death of the father of Shri Saurabh Tyagi, a Management Side member of the Wage Negotiating Committee. BSNLEU has already requested the Director (HR) to appoint a new Chairman to the Wage Negotiating Committee and also to hold meeting of the Wage Negotiating Committee, at the earliest. Today, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this issue with Ms. Anita Johri, PGM(SR). It was replied by the PGM(SR) that, the Management is on the job of appointing a new Chairman of the Wage Negotiating Committee and that this job would be completed soon. The General Secretary requested the PGM(SR) to complete reconstitution of the Wage Negotiating Committee at the earliest and also to hold a meeting of the Committee without delay.

BSNLEU has demanded that TTs and ATTs should be provided with training in computer operations. Further BSNLEU has also demanded that, the TTs and ATTs should be posted in the FTTH segment after training. Thereafter, Management has given certain proposals for on "Capacity Building" (skill upgradation) of certain Non-Executive cadres and has sought the views of BSNLEU. BSNLEU has written a detailed letter to the Management today demanding that, skill upgradation of all the Non-Executive cadres should be undertaken. Further, BSNLEU has also submitted detailed proposals for the skill upgradation of various Non-Executive cadres.

CHQ is saddened to know that, Mrs. Sarla devi, mother of Com. Tilak Raj Tiwari, Organising Secretary(CHQ) has passed away today morning. Mrs.Sarla devi was 82 years old. she had been unwell for some time, due to age related ailments. CHQ conveys it's heartfelt condolences to Com. Tilak Raj Tiwari and all his family members.

सीएचक्यू को यह जानकर दुख हुआ कि साथी तिलक राज तिवारी, आयोजन सचिव (सीएचक्यू) की माता श्रीमती सरला देवी का आज सुबह निधन हो गया। श्रीमती सरला देवी 82 वर्ष की थीं। वे उम्र संबंधी बीमारियों के कारण कुछ समय से अस्वस्थ थीं। सीएचक्यू साथी तिलक राज तिवारी और उनके सभी परिवार के सदस्यों के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना व्यक्त करता है।

Good news for BSNL and bad news for Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio. According to the news published on 15th November, in the news portal India.com, BSNL has added 55 lakh new mobile customers in the months of July and August,2024. During the same period, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio has lost 40 lakh customers. This is a morale boosting for BSNL and a setback for Reliance Jio. The high tariff increase by the private telecom companies and also news about BSNL's 4G launching, are the reasons behind this development. BSNL Management and the employees have to take all out efforts, to sustain this migration of customers from private telecom companies to BSNL.

बीएसएनएल के लिए अच्छी खबर और मुकेश अंबानी की रिलायंस जियो के लिए बुरी खबर। 15 नवंबर को न्यूज पोर्टल इंडिया डॉट कॉम में प्रकाशित खबर के अनुसार, बीएसएनएल ने जुलाई और अगस्त, 2024 के महीनों में 55 लाख नए मोबाइल ग्राहक जोड़े हैं। इसी अवधि के दौरान, मुकेश अंबानी की रिलायंस जियो ने 40 लाख ग्राहक खो दिए हैं। यह बीएसएनएल के लिए मनोबल बढ़ाने वाला और रिलायंस जियो के लिए झटका है। निजी दूरसंचार कंपनियों द्वारा टैरिफ में भारी वृद्धि और बीएसएनएल के 4G लॉन्चिंग की खबरें इस बात के पीछे कारण हैं। बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन और कर्मचारियों को निजी दूरसंचार कंपनियों से बीएसएनएल की ओर ग्राहकों के इस प्रवास को बनाए रखने के लिए सभी प्रयास करने होंगे।

The Supreme Court of India, in it's judgement delivered on 13th November, 2024, has termed demolition of houses by certain state governments, using bulldozers, is against the Constitution. In a 95 page judgement, delivered by the bench consisting of Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice K.V. Viswanathan, in their 95 page judgement, termed the destroying of homes, leaving families homeless, is nothing short of ‘anarchy’. It is indulging in naked display of ‘might is right’, without thinking about the victims. Justice Gavai said the government could not transform itself into a judge, to find an accused guilty without trial and deliver a “collective punishment” to him and his family by wrecking their home. The court further reminded the state governments that, an accused is presumed innocent, until proven guilty in a court of law. The court asked, “If his spouse, children, parents live in the same house or co-own the same property, can they be penalised by demolishing the property without them even being involved in any crime? As is well known, a pious father may have a recalcitrant son and vice versa, said the court. It is also ordered by the court that, officials who violate these directives would face contempt action and would be prosecuted. They would be liable for the restitution of the demolished property, the court said.

The BSNL Casual Contract Workers Federation (BSNLCCWF) has given call for organising demonstrations at the CGM Offices and for submission of memorandum to the Dy.CLCs. The CHQ of BSNLEU, based on the decision taken in the Kolkata CEC meeting, has directed the circle unions to organise this programme effectively, together with BSNLCCWF. As per this call, the programme has been organised effectively in some circles. CHQ appreciates the circle unions which have implemented the call successfully. 

कॉंट्राक्ट और केज़्युअल वर्कर्स की समस्याएं - प्रदर्शन एवं ज्ञापन का आयोजन।

बीएसएनएल केज़्युअल एंड कांट्राक्ट वर्कर्स फेडरेशन (बीएसएनएलसीसीडब्ल्यूएफ) ने मुख्य महाप्रबंधक कार्यालयों पर प्रदर्शन आयोजित करने तथा उप मुख्य महाप्रबंधकों को ज्ञापन सौंपने का आह्वान किया है। BSNLEU के सीएचक्यू ने कोलकाता सीईसी बैठक में लिए गए निर्णय के आधार पर बीएसएनएलसीसीडब्ल्यूएफ के साथ मिलकर इस कार्यक्रम को प्रभावी ढंग से आयोजित करने के लिए सर्किल यूनियनों को निर्देश दिया है। इस आह्वान के अनुरूप कुछ सर्किलों में कार्यक्रम का प्रभावी ढंग से आयोजन किया गया है। सीएचक्यू उन सर्किल यूनियनों की सराहना करता है, जिन्होंने आह्वान को सफलतापूर्वक क्रियान्वित किया है।

Two installments of DA have already become due to be paid to the casual labourers. One instalment has become due from January 2024 and the next instalment has become due from July 2024. BSNLEU has already raised the issue with the CMD BSNL and the Director (HR), about the delay in the payment of DA to the casual labourers. Today, Com.P.Abhimanyu,GS, spoke to Shri S.P.Singh, PGM(Estt.) and requested him to expeditiously make payment of the two installments of DA to the casual labourers. The PGM establishment assured to take needful action at the earliest.

As per the call of the BSNL Casual and Contract Workers Federation (BSNLCCWF), the next programme on the demands of contract and casual workers is to be organised tomorrow the 14-11-2024. According to this call, demonstrations are to be organised in all the CGM offices and also memorandum is to be submitted to the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Dy CLC) of the state, demanding settlement of the demands of the contract workers and casual workers. The CEC meeting of BSNLEU, held at Kolkata, has taken a firm decision to successfully organise all the programmes called on by BSNLCCWF, for the settlement of the problems of the contract and casual workers. Accordingly, CHQ calls upon all the circle unions to successfully organise demonstrations in the CGM office tomorrow and also to submit memorandum to the Deputy CLC. Copy of the memorandum is already circulated. Once again it is enclosed. Photos and report of the programme may be sent to the CHQ, after completing the programme.

When Management enhanced the reimbursement  of mobile handset cost to the Executives in May, 2024,   BSNLEU wrote a strong letter to the Management and demanded that, the facility should be extended to all the Non-Executives also. BSNLEU in its letter dated 08-05-2024, has explained in detail, how JEs, Sr.TOAs, TTs and ATTs use mobile handsets extensively in marketing activities and in other day to day works. In that letter, BSNLEU has strongly demanded that,  reimbursement of mobile handset cost should be extended to all the Non-Executives also. Now, we hear that, Management has taken decision to reimburse the cost of mobile handset to the JE cadre. We welcome this decision. Definitely, this is an achievement of BSNLEU. At the same time, this facility should be extended to the Sr.TOAs, TTs ATTs and all other cadres of the Non-Executives also. BSNLEU will strongly raise this issue before the Management and will settle it.

मोबाइल हैंडसेट की लागत की प्रतिपूर्ति - इसे सभी नॉन एक्सीक्यूटिव्स तक बढ़ाया जाना चाहिए।

जब प्रबंधन ने मई-2024 में एक्ज़िक्यूटिव्स को मोबाइल हैंडसेट की लागत की प्रतिपूर्ति बढ़ा दी थी तब BSNLEU ने प्रबंधन को एक कड़ा पत्र लिखा और मांग की कि यह सुविधा सभी नॉन एक्ज़िक्यूटिव्स को भी दी जानी चाहिए। BSNLEU ने अपने पत्र दिनांक 08-05-2024 में विस्तार से बताया है कि कैसे जेई, सीनियर टीओए, टीटी और एटीटी मार्केटिंग गतिविधियों और अन्य दिन-प्रतिदिन के कार्यों में मोबाइल हैंडसेट का बड़े पैमाने पर उपयोग करते हैं। उस पत्र में BSNLEU ने दृढ़ता से मांग की है कि, मोबाइल हैंडसेट की लागत की प्रतिपूर्ति सभी नॉन एक्ज़िक्यूटिव्स को भी दी जानी चाहिए। अब, हम सुनते हैं कि प्रबंधन ने जेई संवर्ग को मोबाइल हैंडसेट की लागत की प्रतिपूर्ति करने का निर्णय लिया है। हम इस निर्णय का स्वागत करते हैं। निश्चित रूप से, यह BSNLEU की एक उपलब्धि है। साथ ही, यह सुविधा सीनियर टी.ओ.ए., टी.टी.ए. ए.टी.टी. तथा नॉन एक्ज़ीक्यूटिव्स के अन्य सभी संवर्गों को भी दी जानी चाहिए। BSNLEU इस मुद्दे को प्रबंधन के समक्ष जोरदार तरीके से उठाएगा तथा इसका समाधान करेगा। 

BSNLEU has written a letter to Shri Jyothiraditya Scindia, Hon'able Minister for Communications regarding the taking over of MTNL's operations in Mumbai and Delhi, by BSNL. In its letter, BSNLEU has informed the Hon'ble Minister that, the mobile and other networks of MTNL are in shambles in Mumbai and Delhi. A huge amount is required for the restoration of these networks. Without restoring these networks in Mumbai and Delhi, BSNL cannot provide services. Since BSNL's financial condition is not in a good shape, the Company cannot spend a huge amount for restoring the networks at Mumbai and Delhi. In view of this, BSNLEU has requested the Hon'ble Minister to kindly ensure providing necessary financial assistance to BSNL, for carrying out the operations of MTNL in Mumbai and Delhi.

BSNLEU ने मुंबई और दिल्ली में एमटीएनएल के संचालन को बीएसएनएल द्वारा अपने हाथ में लेने के संबंध में माननीय संचार मंत्री श्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया को पत्र लिखा है। अपने पत्र में BSNLEU ने माननीय मंत्री को सूचित किया है कि मुंबई और दिल्ली में एमटीएनएल के मोबाइल और अन्य नेटवर्क खस्ताहाल हैं। इन नेटवर्क को बहाल करने के लिए बड़ी राशि की आवश्यकता है। मुंबई और दिल्ली में इन नेटवर्क को बहाल किए बिना बीएसएनएल सेवाएं प्रदान नहीं कर सकता है। चूंकि बीएसएनएल की वित्तीय स्थिति अच्छी नहीं है, इसलिए कंपनी मुंबई और दिल्ली में नेटवर्क को बहाल करने के लिए बड़ी राशि खर्च नहीं कर सकती है। इसे देखते हुए BSNLEU ने माननीय मंत्री से अनुरोध किया है कि वे मुंबई और दिल्ली में एमटीएनएल के संचालन को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए बीएसएनएल को आवश्यक वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करना सुनिश्चित करें।
