BSNLEU has sought an online Formal Meeting with the Director (HR) and has given a 6 point agenda also for the meeting. This meeting was held online yesterday. From the Management Side, Shri Arvind Vadnerkar, Director (HR), Shri Saurabh Tyagi, Sr.GM(Estt.), Shri A.M. Gupta, Sr.GM(SR), Shri Ashutosh Gupta, GM(Admn.), Ms. Samita Luthra, GM (Rectt.) and Shri A.K. Sinha, DGM(SR) attended. BSNLEU is represented by Com.Animesh Mitra, President, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Com.Swapan Chakraborty, Dy.GS and Com.John Verghese, AGS. The details of the discussions and decisions taken are given in the enclosure.

The 8th All India Conference of BSNLEU, which started at Chennai on 31st December,2016, got concluded jubilantly yesterday. Important issues like struggles to stop the Subsidiary Tower Company, settlement of wage revision, settlement of the Non-Executives' issues, etc., are deeply discussed by the Conference, and valuable guidance has been given to the CHQ. Com. Balbir Singh, com. P.Abhimanyu and com.Swapan Chakraborty are re-elected as President, General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary, respectively. Com.Gakul Borah(Assam), is elected as the new Treasurer. At 19:00 hrs, the Conference got concluded in an upbeat mood, amidst thunderous slogans.

BSNLEU has already taken up the demand with Director (HR), for reviewing results of the recently held JE LICE. The matter is already discussed with the GM (Rectt.). But it seems Management is not inclined to accept our demand. Hence, CHQ has already called upon the circle secretaries to provide details to the CHQ, regarding the number of JE LICE vacancies existing in each circle, and also the number of candidates qualified in the recently held exam. These details will help us to take up the case strongly with the Management. All circle secretaries are requested to immediately send the inputs to the GS, through SMS / Whatsapp or through E-mail.

It is already decided that the AIC of BSNLEU will be held at Mysuru, from 8^th to 11^th January, 2019. However, the Central Trade Unions have given call yesterday, for a two day strike, to be organised on 8^th and 9^th January, 2019. It is needless to say that, BSNLEU has to make the strike successful in BSNL.  Hence, we cannot conduct our AIC, as per the dates decided earlier. In view of this, the All India Centre meeting held today, has decided to prepone the dates of the AIC. Accordingly, the All India Conference will now be conducted on 17^th, 18^th, 19^th and 20^th December, 2018.  The Pre-AIC CEC meeting will be held on 16.12.2018. All CEC members, delegates and observers are requested to book their journey tickets accordingly. The inconvenience caused in this regard to our comrades, is highly regretted by the CHQ. All the comrades are requested to cooperate with the CHQ, in this regard.

हड़ताल का प्रथम दिन, अद्भुत रूप से सफल - AUAB की सभी कर्मचारियों को बधाई...
प्रथम दिन, हड़ताल की जबरदस्त सफलता के लिए AUAB की सभी नॉन-एग्जीक्यूटिव्ज व  एग्जीक्यूटिव्ज को दिली बधाई।  आज AUAB ने 15.30 hrs पर हुई अपनी मीटिंग में हड़ताल के प्रथम दिन की समीक्षा की। AUAB के सभी घटकों के महासचिव व वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। सर्कल्स से प्राप्त रिपोर्ट के अनुसार प्रथम दिन पूर्ण हड़ताल हुई है। यह भी देखने मे आया कि हडताल शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से हो रही है। एक तरफ तो कल शाम को प्रेस इनफार्मेशन ब्यूरो के माध्यम से जारी अपने प्रेस स्टेटमेंट में DoT ने कहा है कि मुद्दों के निवारण हेतु वह AUAB के साथ चर्चारत है। वहीं दूसरी ओर व्यापक रूप से कर्मचारियों द्वारा हड़ताल में प्रथम दिन की गई सहभागिता के बावजूद DoT ने , AUAB को चर्चा हेतु आमंत्रित नही किया है। यह DoT की दोहरी नीति को दर्शाता है। ऐसी परिस्थितियों में, आज सम्पन्न AUAB की मीटिंग में यह प्रस्तावित  किया गया कि कर्मचारियों को हड़ताल को और अधिक तीव्र करने व हड़ताल के दूसरे व तीसरे दिन हड़ताल को शतप्रतिशत सफल बनाने का आव्हान किया जाए।

जियो के ARPU में तीव्र गिरावट- इंडस्ट्री के लिए अच्छी खबर...
यह भारत की टेलीकॉम इंडस्ट्री के लिए सुखद खबर है कि रिलायंस जियो के ARPU में तीव्र गिरावट हो रही है। ऑपरेटर के कुल राजस्व को कंपनी के ग्राहकों की संख्या से भाग देने पर प्राप्त संख्या ARPU कहलाती है। अतः, किसी भी कंपनी के ARPU में वृद्धि से मुनाफे में भी वृद्धि होगी और कमी होने से ठीक विपरीत। खबर मिली है कि रिलायंस का ARPU कम होता जा रहा है। इसका ARPU दिसंबर 2017 में रु 154/- था। फिर दिसंबर 2018 में यह गिर कर रु 130/- हो गया। इसके बाद और गिरावट के साथ मार्च 2019 में यह रु 126.2 पर आ गया। यह एक सर्व विदित तथ्य है कि जियो द्वारा शुरू किए गए बेहद नृशंस मूल्य युद्ध (टैरिफ वार) की वजह से BSNL सहित सभी टेलीकॉम कंपनियां घाटे की स्थिति में पहुंच गई। जियो चाहता है कि सभी टेलीकॉम कंपनियां बंद हो जाए और वह टेलीकॉम इंडस्ट्री में एकाधिकार स्थापित कर जनता को लूट सके। इंडस्ट्री के विश्लेषकों का अनुमान है कि शीघ्र ही टेलीकॉम टैरिफ में वृद्धि होगी। अब, जियो के ARPU में तीव्र गिरावट इस बात के संकेत है कि जियो को भी अपने टैरिफ में शीघ्र वृद्धि करना होगी और ये BSNL व अन्य ऑपरेटर्स के लिए अच्छी खबर है।

The Government of India has reduced the GPF interest rate. Currently, it is 8% and hereafter it will be 7.9%. It must be remembered that the big corporates are continuously demanding the government to reduce the rate of interest, so that they can get loans at cheaper rate of interest. (It is a different story that, ultimately they will not repay the loans)

Campaign meeting for 8th Membership verification was held on 11.09.2019 at Godhra. Com.H.D. Parmar, District President, presided over the meeting. Com.G.J Raulji, District Secretary, welcomed all. Com. M.K.Dave, Vice President-CHQ addressed the house and discussed about the issues before BSNL and BSNL employees and importance of BSNLEU for the revival and survival of BSNL. He also spoke about the proposed VRS-CRS and reduction in age of Superannuation from 60 years to 58 years. Com.D.K. Bakutra, Circle Secretary, BSNLEU addressed the house and explained about the anti-PSU and anti-BSNL policies of government and about the struggles for the defence of the interests of BSNL employees under the leadership of BSNLEU at all levels and all over the nation. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks from Com.H.D. Parmar.

In the Formal meeting held on 14.01.2020, BSNLEU has already taken up with the Director (HR), the matter of issuing of Presidential Orders to the employees recruited by the DoT prior to 01.10.2000, but whose appointments were made after 01.10.2000. Even though favourable judgements are already given by a number of CATs and High Courts, BSNL has filed an appeal in the Hon’ble Supreme Court. BSNLEU has requested to the Director (HR) in the above mentioned meeting, to ensure needful action for the expeditious disposal of the case in the Hon’ble Supreme Court. The Director (HR) has assured to do the needful. Com.P.Abhimanyu, Com.Swapan Chakraborty, Dy.GS and Com.John Verghese, AGS, met Shri A.M.Gupta, GM(SR), yesterday, and urged upon him to implement the assurance given by the Director (HR). The GM(SR) assured to take needful action.

Food materials were distributed to the contract workers at Haldwani on 17.04.2020. This distribution of food materials is made from the donation, amounting Rs.10,000/- contributed by Com.Mahedra Singh Bisht, Circle Vice President and District Treasurer, Haldwani. CHQ appreciates Com.Mahedra Singh Bisht.

CHQ has received the sad news that Com.Santhosh Kumar’s (Circle Secretary, Kerala circle) mother has passed away today. CHQ conveys it’s heartfelt condolences to Com.Santhosh Kumar, as well as to his family members.

As per the reply given by the Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, the consultant appointed by MTNL, for it's financial revival, has recommended the reduction of retirement age from 60 to 58. This recommendation is presently under the consideration of the DoT. At the same time, the Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications has told the All Unions and Associations of BSNL, in the meeting held on 24-02-2018, that there is no proposal to reduce the retirement age of BSNL employees from 60 to 58. It may be noted that only because of the severe protest of the All Unions and Associations of BSNL, combined with massive struggles, has pushed back the government's proposal to reduce the retirement age of BSNL employees.

आज दिनांक 11.12.2018 को NFTE के कार्यालय में AUAB की मीटिंग हुई। कॉम चंदेश्वर सिंह, चेयरमैन, AUAB ने अध्यक्षता की। कॉम पी.अभिमन्यु, कन्वेनर ने सभी का स्वागत किया और मीटिंग का एजेंडा प्रस्तुत किया। मीटिंग में माननीय संचार राज्य मंत्री के साथ हुए सेटलमेंट का त्वरित क्रियान्वयन कैसे हो इस मुद्दे पर चर्चा हुई। मीटिंग में सर्किल और डिस्ट्रिक्ट लेवल पर AUAB को संयुक्त साधारण सभा आयोजित कर 03.12.2018 को माननीय संचार राज्य मंत्री के साथ हुए सेटलमेंट  बाबद विस्तार से कर्मचारियों को बताने हेतु निर्देशित करने का निर्णय भी लिया गया। AUAB ने यह भी निर्णय लिया कि ये संयुक्त साधारण सभा 26 से 29 दिसंबर 2018 की अवधि में पूर्ण हों। BSNLEU CHQ का सभी सर्किल और डिस्ट्रिक्ट सेक्रेटरीज से अनुरोध है कि वें AUAB द्वारा लिए गए निर्णयों के संज्ञान लें व संयुक्त साधारण सभा सफलता पूर्वक आयोजित करने हेतु पहल करें।
