The MoU signed between BSNL Management and Oriental Insurance Company is valid upto 30.04.2023. However, complaints are being received that, Oriental Insurance Company has stopped approving cashless treatment facility to the insured employees. Hence, BSNLEU has written a complaint to the GM (Admn.), BSNL Corporate Office, yesterday. Based on this, the Admn. Branch of the Corporate Office has written letter to Oriental Insurance Company, telling them to honour the MoU.
Com.Tapan Sen, General Secretary, CITU, has issued a strong statement against the derecognition of NFPE and P-3 Union on frivolous grounds. He has stated that, NFPE and P-3 Union, which are having 70% membership among the postal employees, are consistently fighting against the efforts of the government to corporatise the Postal Department and subsequently to privatise it. Hence, the derecognition of NFPE and P-3 Union is nothing but revengeful action against these organisations which are fighting to protect the interests of the postal employees. Com.Tapan Sen has demanded immediate restoration of Recognition to NFPE and P-3 Union.

The General Secretary of AITUC, Com.Amarjit Kaur, has issued a statement wherein she has condemned the Department of Posts for the withdrawal of Recognition of NFPE and P-3 Union. Com.Amarjit Kuar has pointed out that, the Recognition has been withdrawn on flimsy ground and has demanded immediate restoration of Recognition to NFPE and P-3 Union.
The AIGETOA, the Main Recognised Association of the Executives in BSNL, has now got affiliated with BMS, which is one of the Central Trade Unions. The affiliation certificate, issued to the AIGETOA, by the BMS is enclosed herewith.
The Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers has issued a circular yesterday, against the withdrawal of recognition of NFPE and P3 Union. The Confederation has called on the employees to organise protest, demonstrations in front of Central Government offices on 2nd May, 2023.
BSNLEU is extremely saddened to know that Com.M.L. Sharma, a towering leader of the P&T, Telecom and BSNL trade union movements has passed away. Com.M.L. Sharma, a leader of NFPTE / NFTE has always maintained cordial relationship with the leaders of BSNLEU and also with other trade unions. He strongly stood for unity of trade unions and for strengthening the working class movement. BSNLEU pays it’s respectful homage to Com.M.L. Sharma. BSNLEU also conveys it’s heartfelt condolences to the family members and relatives of Com.M.L. Sharma.
The Department of Posts has withdrawn the recognition of National Federation of Postal Employees (NFPE) and the All India Postal Employees Union Group ‘C’ (P-3 Union).
The Department of Posts has accused NFPE and P-3 Union of funding political party.
In its letter no. SR-10/7/2022-SR-DOP dated 26.04.2023, the following allegations are made in Para 4.
“NFPE and Association donated some amount to Confederation of Central Government Employee and Workers to provide help to farmer’s movement as well as Rs.4,935/- to CPI(M) and Rs.50,000/- to CITU.”
Giving donation to farmer’s agitation and Rs.50,000/- to CITU cannot be termed as political donation. Kisan Sabha and CITU are not political parties.
Further, the General Secretary of NFPE has submitted in his explanation that, Rs.4,935/-, paid to the CPI(M) is the online payment made for purchasing books from CPI(M)’s publications. (See Para 6.3 of the letter of Department of Posts.)
The small amount of Rs.4,935/- itself shows that, it cannot be a political donation.
So, it becomes very clear that, the recognition of NFPE and P3 union has been withdrawn by the government with an ulterior motive. BSNLEU strongly condemns this undemocratic action of the government and demands that, the recognition of NFPE and P3 union should immediately be restored.
सरकार ने एनएफपीई और पोस्टल क्लास-III यूनियन की मान्यता वापस ली ।- BSNLEU इस कार्रवाई की कड़ी निंदा करता है ।
डाक विभाग ने नेशनल फेडरेशन ऑफ पोस्टल एम्प्लाइज (एनएफपीई) और ऑल इंडिया पोस्टल एम्प्लाइज यूनियन ग्रुप 'सी' (पी- III यूनियन) की मान्यता वापस ले ली है ।
डाक विभाग ने एनएफपीई और पी - III यूनियन पर राजनीतिक दल को फंडिंग करने का आरोप लगाया है ।
इसके पत्र सं. SR-10/7/2022-SR-DOP दिनांक 26.04.2023 के पैरा 4 में निम्नलिखित आरोप लगाए गए हैं ।
"एनएफपीई और एसोसिएशन ने किसान आंदोलन को सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए कन्फेडरेशन ऑफ सेंट्रल गवर्नमेंट एम्प्लॉई एंड वर्कर्स को कुछ राशि दान की, साथ ही सीपीआई (एम) को रु. 4,935/- और सीटू को रु. 50,000/- की राशि दान की ।"
किसान आंदोलन को चंदा और सीटू को 50,000/- रुपये देना राजनीतिक चंदा नहीं कहा जा सकता । किसान सभा और सीटू राजनीतिक दल नहीं हैं ।
इसके अलावा, एनएफपीई के महासचिव ने अपने स्पष्टीकरण में प्रस्तुत किया है कि सीपीआई (एम) को भुगतान किया गया 4,935/- रुपये, सीपीआई (एम) के प्रकाशनों से किताबें खरीदने के लिए किया गया ऑनलाइन भुगतान है। (डाक विभाग के पत्र का पैरा 6.3 देखें।)
4,935/- रुपये की छोटी सी राशि ही यह दर्शाती है कि यह राजनीतिक चंदा नहीं हो सकता ।
इसलिए, यह बहुत स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि, एनएफपीई और P-III यूनियन की मान्यता सरकार द्वारा एक गुप्त मंशा से वापस ले ली गई है । BSNLEU सरकार की इस अलोकतांत्रिक कार्रवाई की कड़ी निंदा करता है और मांग करता है कि एनएफपीई और P-III यूनियन की मान्यता तुरंत बहाल की जानी चाहिए ।
The MoU signed between BSNL Management and Oriental Insurance Company for the Group Insurance Scheme expires only on 30-04-2023. The new premium rates offered by M/s Oriental Insurance Company, for the renewal of the MoU is exorbitantly high. Hence all the Recognised Unions and Associations of BSNL have rejected them. They have also demanded that, the BSNL Management should call for fresh quotations from the open market. Perhaps, M/s Oriental Insurance Company is angry that, the Unions and Associations have rejected their new premium rates. Hence, they have withdrawn the cashless medical treatment facility, even before 30-04-2019. This is total violation of the MoU signed with BSNL management. Hence, BSNLEU has written letter to Shri S.P.Singh, GM (Admin) BSNL Corporate Office, demanding to ensure that M/s Oriental Insurance Company implements the MoU till 30-04-2023.
ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी ने समझौता ज्ञापन का उल्लंघन किया - BSNLEU ने जनरल मैनेजर (प्रशासन), बीएसएनएल कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय को तत्काल हस्तक्षेप की मांग करते हुए पत्र लिखा।
ग्रुप इंश्योरेंस स्कीम के लिए बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन और ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी के बीच हस्ताक्षरित समझौता ज्ञापन 30-04-2023 को समाप्त हो रहा है । समझौता ज्ञापन के नवीनीकरण के लिए ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी द्वारा पेश की गई नई प्रीमियम दरें बहुत अधिक हैं । इसलिए बीएसएनएल की सभी मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों ने उन्हें खारिज कर दिया है । उन्होंने यह भी मांग की है कि बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन को खुले बाजार से नए कोटेशन मंगाने चाहिए । शायद, ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी नाराज है कि, यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों ने नई प्रीमियम दरों को खारिज कर दिया है । इसलिए, उन्होंने कैशलेस चिकित्सा उपचार सुविधा को 30-04-2019 से पहले ही वापस ले लिया है । यह बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन के साथ हस्ताक्षरित समझौता ज्ञापन का पूर्ण उल्लंघन है। इसलिए, BSNLEU ने श्री एस.पी.सिंह, जनरल मैनेजर (प्रशासन) बीएसएनएल कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय को पत्र लिखकर यह सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की है कि ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी 30-04-2023 तक समझौता ज्ञापन को लागू करें ।
BSNLEU is holding it’s Central Executive Committee meeting at Bhopal on 6th & 7th May, 2023. In this connection, BSNLEU has written to the PGM(SR), for the sanctioning of special casual leave. Today, the Corporate Office has issued letter to all the CGMs, for the sanctioning of special casual leave for the CEC members.
BSNLEU observes May Day every year in a befitting manner. In accordance with this, the CHQ calls upon all the circle and district unions to celebrate this year’s May Day effectively. BSNLEU’s Red Flag may be hoisted in all circles and BAs / OAs. Special May Day meetings may be conducted in all BAs. Apart from this, May Day may be observed by organising rallies and public meetings together with the Central Trade Unions and other Fraternal Trade Unions wherever possible.
ध्वजारोहण/विशेष बैठकें/रैलियां आदि आयोजित करके मई दिवस मनाएं ।
BSNLEU हर साल मई दिवस को उपयुक्त तरीके से मनाता है। इसके अनुसार, सीएचक्यू सभी सर्कल और जिला यूनियनों से इस वर्ष के मई दिवस को प्रभावी ढंग से मनाने का आह्वान करता है। BSNLEU का लाल झंडा सभी सर्किलों और बीए/ओए में फहराया जा सकता है। सभी बीए में विशेष मई दिवस बैठकें आयोजित की जा सकती हैं। इसके अलावा, जहां भी संभव हो केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों और अन्य समान विचारधारा वाले ट्रेड यूनियनों के साथ मिलकर रैलियों और जनसभाओं का आयोजन करके मई दिवस मनाया जा सकता है ।

Shri Prakash Singh Badal, leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal and the 5 time Chief Minister of Punjab, passed away yesterday. He was 95 years old. Shri Badal was first elected to the Punjab Assembly in 1957. In 1970, he became the youngest Chief Minister of India. He served as Chief Minister of Punjab during 1970-71 ; 1977-1980 ; 1997-2002 and from 2007-2017. The Government of India awarded him the 2nd highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. Shri Badal broke Shiromani Akali Dal’s alliance with the BJP and openly came out in support of the nationwide Farmer’s Agitation that shook the country. BSNLEU pays it’s respectful homage to Shri Prakash Singh Badal.
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister announced yesterday, his government’s decision to put on hold further action on the Factories (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 2023, which envisages increasing of the working hours beyond eight hour. Earlier, a Joint Committee of all trade unions, comprising CITU, AITUC, INTUC and LPF, had warned of going on a strike on 12.05.2023 to oppose the increase in working hours. Further, political parties including Congress, MDMK, CPI(M), CPI, VCK, Muslim League, Manithaneya Makkal Katchi and Tamilaga Vazhvurimai Katchi have written letter to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, demanding to give up the “antila labour” step.
कड़े विरोध के बीच तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री ने मजदूर विरोधी संशोधन पर रोक लगाने की घोषणा की ।
तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री ने कल घोषणा की कि उनकी सरकार ने फ़ैक्टरी (तमिलनाडु संशोधन) अधिनियम, 2023 पर आगे की कार्रवाई पर रोक लगा दी है, जिसमें काम के घंटों को आठ घंटे से अधिक बढ़ाने की योजना बनाई गई है । इससे पहले, सीआईटीयू, एआईटीयूसी, एएनटीयूसी और एलपीएफ सहित सभी ट्रेड यूनियनों की एक संयुक्त समिति ने काम के घंटों में वृद्धि का विरोध करने के लिए 12-05-2023 को हड़ताल पर जाने की चेतावनी दी थी । आगे, कांग्रेस, एमडीएमके, माकपा, भाकपा, वीसीके, मुस्लिम लीग, मनिथनेय मक्कल काची और तमिलागा वझवुरिमई काची जैसे राजनीतिक दलों ने तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री को पत्र लिखकर मजदूर विरोधी कदम रोकने की मांग की है ।
