Deepika Padukone visited the JNU at around 7. 30 pm yesterday and expressed her solidarity with the students and teachers who were brutally attacked by the masked goons last Sunday. She stood with the students for around 15 minutes, to express her solidarity, though she did not address the gathering. The fact that, Deepika Padukone, one of India's topmost actors, has visited JNU and has expressed her silent protest against the barbaric attack on the students, has sent the right message to the nation. 

BSNLEU has been continuously demanding that the society dues deducted from the salaries of employees, should be remitted to the societies. In the mean time, the society dues of the employee who went on VRS, was also deducted from their leave encashment, but was not remitted to the societies. BSNLEU wrote to the CMD BSNL, pointing out that, the leave encashment money was paid by the LIC, as such the society dues deducted from the leave encashment should immediately be remitted to the societies. Now, the society dues deducted from the leave encashment of VRS optees, is being remitted to the societies by the Corporate Office. 

The AUAB leaders of Trunelveli district, Tamil Nadu circle, submitted memorandum today, to Shri M.Kumar, Lok Sabha member from Tenkasi constituency. The AUAB delegation explained the unwanted delay being caused in the launching of BSNL’s 4G service and also in it’s revival. The Member of Parliament listened to the views expressed by the AUAB leaders and assured to take the needful action.

As a part of intensifying the ‘Work According to Rule’ programme, it has been decided to conduct protest demonstrations on every Wednesday. Circle and district secretaries are requested to effectively conduct these demonstrations, by coordinating with other constituents of the All Unions and Associations of BSNL. Efforts should be taken to mobilise maximum number of employees in these demonstrations.       

Mrs.Nandavva Basappa Salakki, mother of Com.G.B.Salakki, former AGS, BSNLEU, passed away at Bijapur yesterday. She was 92 years old. She had been the affectionate mother of many of the BSNLEU comrades of Bijapur, as well as many circle level leaders of the Union. She used to attend the programmes of our Union at Bijapur. The CHQ of BSNLEU grieves due to the death of this affectionate mother, and conveys it’s heartfelt condolences to Com.G.B.Salakki, former AGS, his family members and the comrades of BSNLEU.

Prominent Bangladeshi writer and publisher Shahzahan Bachchu, aged 60, was killed on Monday. Bachchu was an out spoken person of secularism. It is a matter of serious concern that secular writers and bloggers are being killed one after another, by Islamic extremists, in Bangladesh.

The 3rd meeting of the Joint Committee on Wage Revision of the Non-Executives took place yesterday the 27-08-2018. Shri H.C.Pant, Chairman of the Committee presided. All the Committee members, both from the Staff Side and the Management Side, were present. The Staff Side has already submitted it’s note on the structures of the new pay scales before the last meeting of the Committee. In yesterday’s meeting, the Management Side spelt out their proposals regarding the new pay scales.

Management Side proposed that, the minimum of the new pay scales should be arrived at, by multiplying the minimum of the existing pay scales by 2.4. Accordingly, they proposed the minimum of the new NE 1 pay scale as RS.18,600. However, the Staff Side did not accept this. They demanded that the multiplication factor should be 2.44. Accordingly, the minimum of the new NE1 pay scale comes to Rs.18,934 and that it should be rounded off to Rs.19,000. They also demanded that the 2.44 multiplication factor should be applied to arrive at the minimum of all the new pay scales. The Management Side agreed to examine these proposals of the Staff Side.

As regards the maximum of the new pay scales, the Staff Side has already proposed that they should be arrived at, by providing 43 years of span. But, the Management Side stated that this would result in heavy expenditure on account of payment of Pension Contribution. The Staff Side demanded that the spans of the pay scales should be provided in sufficient numbers, so that no Non-Executive would suffer from the problem of stagnation after the Wage Revision. It is decided to continue with the discussion in the next meeting, to be held on 10-09-2018.

The Staff Side members expressed their unhappiness that the talks are going on very slowly. They also stated that at this speed, the talks could not be completed expeditiously. They demanded that the meetings of the Committee should take place more frequently.

DoT द्वारा हमारी प्रमुख डिमांड्स स्पष्ट रूप से खारिज....अब हड़ताल पर जाने के अलावा कोई अन्य विकल्प नही.

AUAB और सेक्रेटरी, टेलीकॉम  के बीच 02.11.2018 को सम्पन्न मीटिंग में यह बताया गया था कि DoT द्वारा BSNL से कुछ जानकारियां (queries) मांगी जाएगी। साथ ही यह भी बताया गया था कि BSNL से जवाब मिल जाने के बाद DoT द्वारा 3rd पे रिवीजन के संबंध में कैबिनेट नोट को अंतिम रूप दिया जाएगा। अब ज्ञात हुआ है कि DoT ने BSNL को पत्र लिख कर कुछ क्वेरीज प्रस्तुत की है। यह भी ज्ञात हुआ है कि उस पत्र में DoT ने हमारी 3rd पे रिवीजन, BSNL को 4G स्पेक्ट्रम का आवंटन और वास्तविक मूल वेतन पर पेंशन कॉन्ट्रिब्यूशन की मांग को परोक्ष रूप से रिजेक्ट कर दिया है।

माननीय संचार राज्य मंत्री द्वारा दिए गए आश्वासनों पर विगत 8 माह में DoT ने कोई कार्यवाही नही की है। अब उन्होंने स्पष्ट रूप से हमारी सभी प्रमुख डिमांड्स रिजेक्ट कर दी है। अतः CHQ, सभी सर्किल व डिस्ट्रिक्ट सेक्रेटरीज के संज्ञान में लाना चाहेगा कि ऐसे में, अब हमारे पास हड़ताल/अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर जाने के अलावा कोई दूसरा विकल्प नही बचा है। सर्किल व डिस्ट्रिक्ट सेक्रेटरीज से अनुरोध है कि इस संबंध में हुई प्रगति सभी कर्मचारियों में व्यापक रूप से प्रसारित करें और कर्मचारियों को हड़ताल हेतु प्रेरित करने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास करें।

बीएसएनएल के स्वर्ण खजाने का ताला खोलिए...

DoT और माननीय संचार राज्य मंत्री द्वारा यह कहा जा रहा है कि बीएसएनएल घाटे में चल रहा है और उसके लिए कर्मचारियों का 15%फिटमेंट के साथ वेतन संशोधन करना संभव नही होगा। हमें यह समझना चाहिए कि DoT द्वारा बीएसएनएल की वित्तीय स्थिति को केवल कर्मचारियों को 3rd पे रिवीजन न देने के लिए कमजोर बताया जा रहा है। ईमानदारी से कहें तो, सरकार बीएसएनएल की वित्तीय स्थिति में सुधार और उसके उन्नयन के लिए कोई कदम नही उठा रही है। बीएसएनएल को 4G स्पेक्ट्रम, जिसका बीएसएनएल की वित्तीय स्थिति में सुधार में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान होगा, का आवंटन सरकार द्वारा नही करना इसका स्पष्ट उदाहरण है। इतना ही नही, सरकार बीएसएनएल को उसका उपयोग करने की अनुमति नही दे रही है जिसे हम "बीएसएनएल की सोने की खान" कह सकते हैं। जी हाँ, बीएसएनएल के पास हर शहर और गांव में प्रमुख स्थानों पर वृहद रूप में फैली अपनी जमीन है। इन जमीनों की कीमत रु 1 लाख करोड़ के करीब है। इन जमीनों का मुद्रीकरण (monetise) कर बीएसएनएल बड़ी सहजता से प्रत्येक वर्ष रु 10,000 करोड़ का राजस्व प्राप्त कर सकता है। लेकिन DoT द्वारा ऐसी मौद्रीकरण (monetisation) की अनुमति नही दी जा रही है। बीएसएनएल द्वारा 29.10.2018 को अपनी "लैंड मैनेजमेंट पॉलिसी" हेतु अनुमोदन प्राप्त करने के लिए भी DoT को लिखा जा चुका है। यदि यह पॉलिसी मंजूर हो जाती है तो बीएसएनएल अपनी जमीन संपदा से काफी राजस्व अर्जित कर सकता है। लेकिन DoT द्वारा इसमें जानबूझ कर विलंब किया जा रहा है। कॉम पी अभिमन्यु, GS और कॉम स्वपन चक्रबोर्ति, Dy.GS, आज श्री अभय कुमार, CGM(BW) और श्री डी के सिंघल, GM(LD) से मिले और इस मुद्दे पर विस्तार से चर्चा की। उन्होंने आश्वासित किया कि बीएसएनएल की इन "स्वर्ण खानों" का ताला खोलने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किए जाएंगे।

The two day circle executive committee meeting of BSNLEU, Rajasthan circle, got kick-started at Alwar today. National Flag was hoisted by Com.P. Abhimanyu, GS and the Union Flag was hoisted by Com.P.K.Jain, Organising Secretary (CHQ). Com. Vijay Singh, Circle Vice- President, is presiding over the meeting. An impressive seminar was organised in today's forenoon session, on the revival of BSNL. Com.Ashok Pareek, circle secretary, welcomed everyone and initiated the discussion. The seminar was addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Com.P.K.Jain, Organising Secretary (CHQ), Shri Arun Nigam, Secretary, Staff Side of the Circle Council, Shri Shyam Singh, GM, Alwar, Com.Vijay Singh, Circle Vice-President, Com.Pitambar Saini, district secretary, Alwar and leaders of the fraternal organisations of Alwar addressed the Seminar. In his address, Com.P.Abhimanyu, explained the present condition of BSNL and explained about the strategy to be adopted by the BSNL trade union movement, to resolve the issues of the Company and that of the employees. Subjects Committee started in the post-lunch session and is going on.

Election campaign meeting was held at Badmer on 28-08-2019. Com. Dilip welcomed all and presided. The meeting was addressed by Com.P.K Jain, Org. Secretary (CHQ), Com.Ashok Pareek, Circle Secretary, Com. Vijay Singh, Vice President, Rajasthan Circle.  Leaders explained about present status of BSNL and efforts put in by BSNLEU to save BSNL. The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks.

In his presentation, as well as in the meeting held with the AUAB, Shri P.K.Purwar, CMD BSNL, emotionally pointed out that the last, as well as the golden opportunity, for the financial revival of BSNL has come. He fervently appealed to everyone, to utilise this opportunity for restoring the glory of BSNL. With the allotment of 4G spectrum, financial assistance, together with a very conducive atmosphere, the last as well as the golden opportunity has come for the financial revival of BSNL, pointed out the CMD BSNL. He expressed the hope that everyone in BSNL would rise to the occasion for improving the quality of the services and for winning over the confidence of the people and the nation.

VRS ऑप्टीज के लीव एनकेशमेंट से काटे गए सोसाइटी ड्यूज कॉर्पोरेट ऑफिस द्वारा सोसाइटीज को प्रेषित किए जा रहे हैं....
BSNLEU द्वारा लगातार यह मांग की जा रही है कि कर्मचारियों के वेतन से काटे गए सोसाइटी ड्यूज, सोसाइटीज को प्रेषित किए जाएं।इसी दौरान, जिन कर्मचारियों ने VRS लिया, उनके लीव एनकेशमेंट से सोसाइटी ड्यूज की कटौती तो की गई किन्तु सोसाइटीज को प्रेषण नही किया गया। BSNLEU ने  CMD BSNL को पत्र लिख कर उनके संज्ञान में लाया कि लीव एनकेशमेंट की राशि का भुगतान LIC द्वारा किया गया था, अतः, लीव एनकेशमेंट से कटौती किए गए सोसाइटी ड्यूज, सोसाइटीज को तत्काल प्रेषित किए जाएं। अब,  VRS ऑप्टीज के लीव एनकेशमेंट से काटे गए सोसाइटी ड्यूज कॉर्पोरेट ऑफिस द्वारा सोसाइटीज को प्रेषित किए जा रहे हैं। 

BSNLEU has decided to celebrate the Birth Centenary of Com.K.G. Bose for one full year, by organising seminars, special meetings, etc. As a part of this, a live programme on the Facebook is being organised by BSNLEU. Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, BSNLEU, will address the Facebook live at 7:00 pm on 09^th August, 2020. All the comrades are requested to view the programme. 

BSNLEU, SNEA, BTEU, FNTO and BSNL ATM, Andhra Pradesh circle, are conducting series of agitations in Andhra Pradesh circle, demanding cancellation of more than 220 transfers orders issued within 2 months in Vijayawada SSA, and also demanding implementation of the Corporate Office order on the posting of a permanent GM for Vijayawada SSA. The CGM, AP circle is refusing to implement the Corporate Office order on posting Shri Ravindranath, GM (HR), AP circle as the GM of Vijayawada SSA. Com. P. Abhimanyu, GS and Com. Ramesh Chand, Org. Secretary (CHQ), met Director (HR) today, and requested her intervention to settle the issues. Shri Keshav Rao, GM (Pers.) and Shri Manish Kumar, Addl. GM (Pers.), were also present. The Director (HR) discussed the issue over phone with the CGM, AP circle. She directed him to relieve Shri Ravindranath, GM (HR), AP circle, to join as the GM, Vijayawada, for whom substitute would be posted within a week, by the Corporate Office. She also directed the CGM, AP, to send a report to the Corporate Office, on the large number of transfer orders issued in Vijayawada SSA.  

As per the call of the AUAB, memorandums were submitted to the Governors of Tamil Nadu and Punjab, even though Marches were not conducted. In Tamil Nadu, permission was not granted by the police,  to conduct the March to Raj Bhawan. But, the leaders of AUAB were granted time by the Governor, for submission of the memorandum. Accordingly, the AUAB leaders met the Tamil Nadu Governor and submitted the memorandum. In Punjab, a demonstration was conducted in BSNL office, and thereafter the memorandum was submitted  to the Governor by the leaders of AUAB. 

BSNLEU, West Bengal Circle, organised an impressive Young Workers' Convention on 25.08.2018 at Kolkata. 120 young workers participated enthusiastically from all over West Bengal. The young comrades were greeted with Red Rose by the circle leadership. Com. Sujoy Sarkar, Asstt. Circle Secretary welcomed every one. Com. Subrata Misra, Asstt. Circle Secretary initiated the proceedings and delivered the introductory speech. 13 young comrades, from different SSAs, deliberated inspiringly and delivered their speeches. They expressed their views in different angles regarding the the revival of BSNL, Wage Revision, etc. In the recess period Com. Sudeshna Chakraborty entertained the audience with her song. Com. Saibal Sengupta, Asstt. General Secretary, BSNLEU (CHQ) and Com. Om Prakash Singh, Organising Secretary, BSNLEU (CHQ) delivered inspiring speeches. Finally, Com. Animesh Mitra, Circle Secretary &Vice-President(CHQ) addressed the Convention and explained about the various issues raised by the comrades. He thanked the young comrades for taking part in the convention in a good number. He expressed his happiness and gratitude to the young comrades for their deliberations. He declared that the convention was a great success, since the young comrades showed the positive attitude towards all the issues. The convention was conducted by Com.
