The CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), NPR (National Population Register) and NRC (National Register of Citizenship) are against the secular character of the Indian Constitution.
23rd March, 2020 is the martyrdom day of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Raj Guru. The CEC meeting of BSNLEU, has called on the employees to observe an “Anti-CAA, NPR and NRC Day” on 23.03.2020. The CEC has called on the employees to wear demands badge with black ribbon on that day. Lunch hour gate meetings should be organised and the preamble of the Indian Constitution should be read out on that day. All circle and district secretaries are requested to organise this programme very successfully.
For the past so many years, the AUAB is spearheading struggles and movements to safeguard and strengthen BSNL. The AUAB has also played a crucial role in getting 4G spectrum to BSNL for free. In the present case also, wherein vested interests are hatching conspiracy to scuttle BSNL’s procurement of 4G equipments, the AUAB will make the needful intervention. The Convenor, AUAB, is already in contact with other constituents of the AUAB to finalise appropriate action.

मैनेजमेंट द्वारा कंप्रेहेंसिव रेंटिंग आउट पॉलिसी (CROP-2020) घोषित की गई है। इस योजना के तहत रिटायर्ड कर्मचारी और अपने कार्यस्थान से इतर स्थानों पर क्वार्टर लेने वाले कर्मचारियों द्वारा देय किराए में बेतहाशा वृद्धि की गई है। संशोधित किराया 01.09.2020 से देय होगा। किराए में वृद्धि के मद्दे नजर, रिटायर्ड कर्मचारी अपना क्वार्टर छोड़ भी नही सकते हैं, क्योंकि कोविड-19 महामारी की स्थिति में किराए का आवास ढूंढना बेहद दुष्प्रद है। अतः, BSNLEU ने, किराए में संशोधन के चलते हुई वृद्धि के बोझ को कम करने का अनुरोध करते हुए CMD BSNL को पत्र लिखा है।
All Unions and Associations in BSNL in the meeting held on 4th October, 2017 decided agitational programmes demanding 3rd PRC with 15% fitment benefit from 21.01.2017 and to stop formation of Subsidiary Tower Company. The programme is begin with lunch hour demonstrations at Corporate Office, Circle and SSA HQs on 16th October, 2017. A powerful demonstration is held at BSNL Corporate Office at lunch hour on 16th October, 2017. The meeting is presided over by Com. R.S. Chauhan, Vice-President (CHQ) and Circle Secretary in NTR of BSNLEU. The meeting is addressed by Coms. Swapan Chakraborty, Dy.GS, BSNLEU, C. Singh, GS, NFTE, K. Sebastin, GS, SNEA, Prahlad Rai, GS, AIBSNLEA, N.D. Ram, GS, SEWA BSNL, Mohindar Singh, CS, FNTO, Badri, AIGETOA and S.P. Singh, Dy.GS, BSNLOA. All the leaders appealed to the workers to be united to intensify the struggles in the coming days on both the issues and to be ready for 2 days strike on 12th & 13th December, 2017 and also for Indefinite Strike till the wage revision is settled.
There are only five more days for the strike. It is utmost important on the part of the Unions and Associations this time, to ensure that 100% of the Non-Executives and Executives participate in the strike. Some comrades are under the impression that the two day strike will become 100% success automatically, since all the Unions and Associations have joined the strike. This is totally a wrong notion. 100% strike can be achieved only through tireless efforts at the field level. The remaining five days should be effectively utilised, to meet the each and every employee individually, and to convince them to wholeheartedly to join the strike. It is the duty of the leaders and front line activists to ensure that no employee goes on leave this time. CHQ requests all the comrades to swing into action immediately.
As per the decision, the All Unions and Associations of BSNL is organising a powerful lunch hour demonstration in front of the Sanchar Bhawan tomorrow. As per the Cabinet decision, Subsidiary Tower Company will come under the control of the Board of Directors of BSNL. As such, the CMD of the Subsidiary Tower Company should be appointed only by the BSNL’s Board of Directors. However, the DoT, in a high-handed manner, has appointed an IAS officer as the CMD of the Subsidiary Tower Company, without even informing the Board of Directors of BSNL. This it self clearly shows that, the Subsidiary Tower Company will not come under the control of BSNL. The whole game plan of the government is, to snatch the entire mobile towers of BSNL, in the guise of forming a separate tower company. Hence, opposing the formation of the Subsidiary Tower Company, and also opposing the high-handed action of the DoT, of appointing an IAS officer as the CMD of the Subsidiary Tower Company, the AUAB will be organising a powerful lunch hour demonstration in front of the Sanchar Bhawan tomorrow.
The DoT has given it’s final approval for the merger of Vodafone India Ltd. with Idea Cellular. The name of the new company will be Vodafone Idea Ltd. This will be the largest Indian Telecom Company, in terms of number of subscribers and quantum of revenue. Both the company’s have paid Rs.7,268 crore, in cash and in bank guarantee, to the government, for this merger.

DoT द्वारा 19.12.2018 को CMD BSNL को संबोधित करते हुए लिखा हुआ पत्र सोशल मीडिया में व्यापक रूप से प्रसारित किया जा रहा है। उक्त पत्र में लिखा गया है कि वेज रिवीजन पर होने वाले अतिरिक्त खर्च को मैनेज करने के लिए BSNL द्वारा प्रस्तुत जस्टिफिकेशन स्वीकार्य योग्य नही है। साथ ही, इस पत्र के माध्यम से हमें यह भी ज्ञात हुआ है कि BSNL मैनेजमेंट का रिटायरमेंट की उम्र 60 साल से घटा कर 58 साल करने का भी प्रस्ताव है। इस संबंध में हम यह स्पष्ट करना चाहेंगे कि रिटायरमेंट की आयु सीमा 60 से 58 करने के प्रस्ताव को AUAB कभी भी स्वीकार नही करेगा। AUAB, बीएसएनएल मैनेजमेंट/ डॉट के VRS/CRS लागू करने के हर प्रयास का दृढ़ता के साथ प्रतिकार करेगा। इसके अलावा वेज रिवीजन के संबंध में BSNL की आर्थिक स्थिति को ले कर DoTके आकलन से AUAB सहमत नही है। वेज रिवीजन के निराकरण के लिए AUAB पुरजोर तरीके से लड़ने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
An emergent meeting of the AUAB will be held at 11:00 am tomorrow, at BSNL MS office. The BSNL Corporate Management and DoT are responsible for the denial of payment of salary to the employees for the month of February, 2019. Despite severe protests from the employees, the Corporate Management has not taken any action so far, to arrange payment of salary to the employees. This indifference cannot be allowed. Further, the BSNL Management has started issuing show-cause notice to the leaders of the Executive Associations, for their role in organising the 3 day strike. The Management has also informed that break-in-service would be imposed for participating in the 3 day strike. The AUAB meeting, being held tomorrow, will discuss all these issues and will take decisions for taking appropriate actions.

BSNL और कैनरा बैंक तथा बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के मध्य MoUs के यथाशीघ्र नवीनीकरण हेतु BSNLEU निरंतर रूप से प्रयासरत है। विगत सप्ताह, महासचिव को कॉर्पोरेट ऑफिस की बैंकिंग ब्रांच ने आश्वस्त किया था कि दोनों ही बैंक के साथ MoUs का नवीनीकरण एक सप्ताह में हो जाएगा। किन्तु ऐसा नही हुआ। अतः आज पुनः कॉम पी अभिमन्यु, जीएस ने कॉर्पोरेट ऑफिस में संबंधित अधिकारियों से मुलाकात कर इस मुद्दे पर गंभीरता के साथ चर्चा की। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि कैनरा बैंक और बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का मैनेजमेंट अधिक ब्याज दर की मांग कर रहा है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि बैंक्स द्वारा एक और शर्त रखी गई है कि, जिन कर्मचारियों ने ऋण लिया है उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति की स्थिति में उन्हें देय सेवानिवृत्ति लाभ (टर्मिनल बेनिफिट्स) का भुगतान बैंक्स से क्लीयरेंस प्राप्त करने के बाद ही किया जाए। यह न तो हमें मंजूर है और न ही मैनेजमेंट को। महासचिव को आश्वस्त किया गया कि MoUs के नवीनीकरण हेतु दृतगति से प्रयास किए जाएंगे।
01st October is the BSNL Foundation Day of our beloved BSNL. It is extremely unfortunate that the employees are forced to observe protest day on BSNL's foundation day on 01.10.2019. Employees are not being paid salary, the Company is not able to even pay electricity bills, contract workers are not paid wages for the past 8 months and the revenue of the Company is going down drastically every month, due to the anti-BSNL attitude of the people who are in power. Much is being talked about the allotment of 4G spectrum to BSNL and revival of the Company, for the past several months. However, nothing has happened. As a result, BSNL’s condition is deteriorating fast. Hence, BSNLEU, SNEA, AIBSNLEA, BSNL MS, BSNL ATM and BSNLOA have called upon the BSNL employees to observe protest day on 01st October, 2019. It is known to everyone that Reliance Jio created a very big crisis, not only for BSNL, but for the entire telecom sector, by practicing predatory pricing. Many medium and small sized telecom companies are closed down, because of Jio’s predatory pricing. All the telecom companies, except Jio, have gone into loss. The total debt of the telecom sector is Rs.8 lakh crore. Now, Jio says that a minimum floor price should be fixed for data and voice calls. In reply to a consultation paper floated by the TRAI, the Jio has stated that among 230 countries of the world, data tariffs in India are 50 times lower than the tariffs of major developing / developed countries. The behaviour of Reliance Jio reminds us the proverb, “after eating 900 mice, cat goes on Haj pilgrimage”.

BSNLEU has already raised the demand with the BSNL Management that, the BSNL retirees should be allowed to retain their quarters upto 6 months from their date of retirement, at the normal rate of Licence Fee. BSNLEU has raised this demand, in view of the lock-down that has been imposed in the country, which has made it impossible for any one to get houses on rental basis. Today, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this issue with Shri A.M. Gupta, CGM(BW) and requested him to consider taking expeditious action to settle the demand. The CGM(BW) replied that, the demand is being looked into and that a decision would be taken soon.
CHQ is extremely shocked to know that, Com.Sarabjit Singh, district secretary, BSNLEU, Amritsar and also one of the senior leaders of our movement in Punjab circle, has passed away at 06:00 pm today. Com.Sarabjit, who was 58 years old, had been unwell for the past few days. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. BSNLEU dips it's banner and pays respectful homage to Com.Sarabjit Singh and also conveys it's deep condolences to his family members, friends and comrades.
The All India Centre has decided that, a Facebook live programme should be organised in connection with the martyr’s day. Accordingly, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, will deliver the address live on Facebook at 08:00 pm on 18.09.2020. The speech will be in English and Hindi. All the circle and district unions are requested to ensure that, maximum number of comrades view this live address programme.
As per the call of the " All Unions and Associations, powerful demonstrations were conducted throughout the length and breadth of the country by BSNL employees, demanding settlement of wage revision and opposing the formation of Subsidiary Tower Company. BSNLEU heartily congratulates the entire employees. If the government remains adamant, and refuses to settle the demands, then the employees will be forced to intensify the struggles, as per the decisions of the All Unions and Associations of BSNL.

The All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB) has been consistently telling that, the whole idea of the government to form BSNL’s Subsidiary Tower Company, is to privatise it. Soon after the Subsidiary Tower Company is made operational, disinvestment will start through inducting a strategic partner. Thereafter, it will not take long time for the government to privatise the Subsidiary Tower Company. But, still there are some people in BSNL, who do not believe this. What is going to happen in MTNL should serve as an eye opener to such people. Media reports say that, the NITI Aayog has already recommended to the government that, MTNL’s towers should be hived off to a separate company and there after it should be privatised. It is now proved beyond doubt that, the struggle of the AUAB against the Subsidiary Tower Company is 100% justified.
