A meeting of the Coordination Committee of BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF will be held online at 04:00 pm on 07.10.2024. This meeting will discuss the issues of non-settlement of Wage Revision, Pension Revision, extreme delay in BSNL’s 4G launching and issues of the casual and contract workers and is expected to take decisions on campaign programmes.

BSNLEU, एआईबीडीपीए और बीएसएनएलसीसीडब्ल्यूएफ की समन्वय समिति की बैठक 07.10.2024 को शाम 04:00 बजे ऑनलाइन होगी। इस बैठक में वेतन संशोधन, पेंशन संशोधन का निपटारा न होने, बीएसएनएल की 4G लांचिंग में अत्यधिक देरी और कैजुअल और कॉन्ट्रैक्ट कर्मचारियों के मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जाएगी और अभियान कार्यक्रमों पर निर्णय लिए जाने की उम्मीद है।

Serious complaints are coming regarding the style of the functioning of the Sports Cell of the BSNL Corporate Office. Fair play is being denied and there is total lack of transparency in the functioning of the Sports Cell. For example, applications were called for, for the selection of coaches one year back. But, the eligible list is not announced yet. In the meanwhile, persons handpicked by the Sports Cell are being deputed as coaches, by passing the NIS accredited coaches. BSNLEU has written a letter to the PGM( Admin), BSNL CO on this matter today. We hope that, necessary action would be taken.

BSNLEU is repeatedly knocking the doors of the BSNL Corporate Office in the matter of formation of Local Councils at the OA level. Certain circles continue to violate the Corporate Office instructions on the matter. Recently, it has been brought to the notice of the CHQ that, Local Councils are not formed at all in Maharashtra and Gujarat circles. Hence, BSNLEU has once again written letter to the PGM(SR) today, requesting to ensure early formation of the Local Councils in these circles. 

As per the call of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) the International Action Day is observed by BSNLEU, throughout the country, yesterday the 3^rd October, 2024. This is the Foundation Day of the WFTU also. Even though, the CHQ has given call to organise International Action Day programme only in 8 cities, the programme has been observed in more number of places. The CHQ heartily congratulates all the circle and district unions which have organised the programme.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एक्शन डे के और द्रश्य।

विश्व ट्रेड यूनियन महासंघ (WFTU) के आह्वान पर BSNLEU द्वारा कल 3 अक्टूबर 2024 को पूरे देश में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एक्शन डे मनाया जा रहा है। यह WFTU का स्थापना दिवस भी है। यद्यपि, सीएचक्यू ने केवल 8 शहरों में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एक्शन डे कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने का आह्वान किया है, फिर भी कार्यक्रम अधिक संख्या में स्थानों पर मनाया गया।सीएचक्यू कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने वाले सभी सर्किल और जिला यूनियनों को हार्दिक बधाई देता है।

The CHQ is saddened to know that, Shri R.Chakkaraiappan, father of Com.S. Chellappa, AGS, has passed away at Coimbatore, today morning. He was 92 years old and has been under treatment in a hospital. The CHQ conveys it’s heartfelt condolences to Com.S. Chellappa, AGS and his family members.

साथी एस. चेलप्पा, सहायक महासचिव शोकाकुल।

सीएचक्यू को यह जानकर दुख हुआ है कि साथी एस. चेलप्पा, सहायक महासचिव के पिता श्री आर. चकराएप्पन का आज सुबह कोयंबटूर में निधन हो गया। वे 92 वर्ष के थे और अस्पताल में उपचाराधीन थे। सीएचक्यू साथी एस. चेलप्पा, सहायक महासचिव और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना व्यक्त करता है।

As per the call of the WFTU, International Action Day programme was organised in Pune, by the Maharashtra circle union and the Pune district union. Apart from Pune, comrades from Mumbai, Kalyan, Raigad, Satara, Ahmednagar, Nagpur and Nanded districts also participated in this meeting. Around 300 comrades participated in this enthusiastic programme. A powerful demonstration was organised, focussing the demands of the WFTU, for International Action Day. Com.N.K. Nalawade, Vice President (CHQ), presided over the meeting and delivered his address. Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, addressed the meeting and elaborately spoke on the demands of the WFTU such as a decent living wage, 35 hours working week, social securities, healthcare, etc. The meeting was also addressed by Com.Yusuf Hussein, CS & AGS, BSNL Casual Contract Workers Federation, Com.Pushpatai Parate, AGS, AIBDPA, and Com.Ganesh Hinge, CS, BSNLEU, Maharashtra. The programme was conducted by Com.Ganesh Bhoj. Com.Vikas Kadam, delivered vote of thanks. 

As all the comrades are aware, BSNLEU is continuously taking efforts to implement Temporary Transfers of the Non-executives under Rule-9 of BSNL Transfer Policy. Especially, BSNLEU is insisting on approval of the Temporary Transfer of Non-Executives under spouse ground. BSNLEU is also pressurising the Management to remove the stringent conditions imposed by the erstwhile CMD BSNL, in the matter of Temporary Transfers. Under these circumstances, the Corporate Office has approved some Temporary Transfers in the JE cadre. BSNLEU will continue to take efforts for the approval of all the eligible cases, by way of relaxing the Rule-9.

The CEC meeting of BSNLEU was held at Kolkata on 25^th & 26^th September, 2024. CHQ has issued circular (no.20/2022-25 dated 03.10.2024), communicating the details and the decisions of the CEC meeting. All circle and district unions are requested to implement the decisions of the CEC meeting.

BSNLEU joins the nation to pay it's respectful homage to Mahatma Gandhi, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Gandhiji mobilised millions of the Indian masses to take on the mighty British imperialists. He advocated non-violence. At the same time, he taught the Indians to stand up against insolent might. Secularism and religious tolerance are the invaluable ideals that Gandhiji preached. It is also important to recollect on this day, that Gandhiji became the victim to the bullets of religious fanatics. While paying homage to the Mahatma, let us take the pledge to uphold religious tolerance and secularism.

BSNLEU राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी को उनकी जयंती के अवसर पर आदरपूर्वक श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करने के लिए राष्ट्र के साथ है। गांधीजी ने शक्तिशाली ब्रिटिश साम्राज्यवादियों से मुकाबला करने के लिए लाखों भारतीय लोगों को संगठित किया। उन्होंने अहिंसा की वकालत की। साथ ही, उन्होंने भारतीयों को अहंकारी ताकतों के खिलाफ खड़ा होना सिखाया। धर्मनिरपेक्षता और धार्मिक सहिष्णुता गांधीजी द्वारा प्रचारित अमूल्य आदर्श हैं। इस दिन यह याद रखना भी महत्वपूर्ण है कि गांधीजी धार्मिक कट्टरपंथियों की गोलियों का शिकार हुए थे। महात्मा को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए, आइए हम धार्मिक सहिष्णुता और धर्मनिरपेक्षता को बनाए रखने की शपथ लें।
 

Com.Jyothilakshmi, AGS & Convenor, BSNLWWC, retired in the month of May, 2024. In this connection, Com.Jyothilakshmi has sent Rs.50,000/- as her personal donation to the CHQ of BSNLEU. The CHQ heartily thanks Com.Jyothilakshmi. It is relevant to mention here that, Com.Jyothilakshmi donated Rs.1,00,000/- to the relief of the families affected by the Wayanad disaster. Further, she also donated Rs.20,000/- to the Reception Committee of Kolkata circle union, which recently hosted the BSNLWWCC, All India Committee meeting, as well as the CEC meeting of BSNLEU.

साथी ज्योतिलक्ष्मी, सहायक महासचिव एवं संयोजक, बीएसएनएलडब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूसी ने सीएचक्यू को 50,000/- रुपये का दान दिया।

साथी ज्योतिलक्ष्मी, सहायक महासचिव एवं संयोजक, बीएसएनएलडब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूसी, मई-2024 के महीने में सेवानिवृत्त हो गईं। इस संबंध में साथी ज्योतिलक्ष्मी ने BSNLEU के सीएचक्यू को अपने व्यक्तिगत दान के रूप में 50,000/- रुपये भेजे हैं। सीएचक्यू साथी ज्योतिलक्ष्मी का हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त करता है। यहां यह उल्लेख करना प्रासंगिक है कि साथी ज्योतिलक्ष्मी ने वायनाड आपदा से प्रभावित परिवारों की राहत के लिए 1,00,000/- रुपये का दान दिया। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने कोलकाता सर्कल यूनियन की रिसेप्शन कमेटी को भी 20,000/- रुपये का दान दिया, जिसने हाल ही में बीएसएनएलडब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूसीसी, अखिल भारतीय समिति की बैठक के साथ-साथ BSNLEU की सीईसी बैठक की मेजबानी की।

IDA  is expected to increase by 6.5% w.e.f 01-10-2024. Presently, the IDA is being paid at the rate of 217.8%.  Hence, the new rate of IDA to be paid with effect from 01-10-2024 will be 224.3%.

BSNLEU conveys best wishes and warm greetings to all the employees on the 25th foundation day of BSNL. During its 25 years of existence, BSNL has rendered praiseworthy service to the people of India. Especially, with its low tariff and transparency, BSNL has given admirable service to the downtrodden sections of the people. Whether it is earthquake or cyclone,  only BSNL has stood in the forefront, to help the people and in providing communications for the relief and rescue operations. Many conspiracies have been hatched to weaken BSNL and to eliminate it from the telecom industry. The unions and associations  of BSNL, through their united struggles, have defended this great organisation. We fervently hope that, BSNL would soon start its 4G service and also further improve its services to serve the people of the nation.

बीएसएनएल के 25वें स्थापना दिवस पर BSNLEU की ओर से हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं एवं बधाई।

BSNLEU की ओर से बीएसएनएल के 25वें स्थापना दिवस पर सभी कर्मचारियों को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं एवं बधाई। अपने 25 वर्षों के अस्तित्व के दौरान बीएसएनएल ने भारत के लोगों को सराहनीय सेवा प्रदान की है। विशेष रूप से अपने कम टैरिफ और पारदर्शिता के साथ बीएसएनएल ने लोगों के वंचित वर्गों को सराहनीय सेवा प्रदान की है। चाहे भूकंप हो या चक्रवात, लोगों की मदद करने और राहत एवं बचाव कार्यों के लिए संचार प्रदान करने में बीएसएनएल ही सबसे आगे रहा है। बीएसएनएल को कमजोर करने और इसे दूरसंचार उद्योग से खत्म करने के लिए कई षड्यंत्र रचे गए हैं। बीएसएनएल के यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों ने अपने एकजुट संघर्षों के माध्यम से इस महान संस्था का बचाव किया है। हमें पूरी उम्मीद है कि बीएसएनएल जल्द ही अपनी 4G सेवा शुरू करेगा और देश के लोगों की सेवा करने के लिए अपनी सेवाओं में और सुधार करेगा।

As already intimated, the Chennai Telephones circle administration is refusing to grant recognition to the district unions of BSNLEU. Today, once again the CHQ has written letter to the PGM(SR), requesting to intervene in the matter and to ensure the granting of recognition to the district unions of BSNLEU in Chennai Telephones circle.
